Curiosity took over me and my feet started moving on its own, towards the woman in battle. I hid behind a tree, a bit closer to observe and a bit far away so I won't get in between them.
Although, I did not expect to see her opponent to be a giant...walrus...that looks the size of a mountain...on land?!?! But, she's amazingly strong, fierce and confident in front her opponent!
I kept my gaze on her and the way she fought. Extremely astonished. She dealt with that giant walrus like it was nothing. Her strength reminds me of my mom's as well as mine. Like, she literally picked up the walrus and threw it in the air towards a sea of water which I didn't even notice was there.
"There. That should do it." I heard her voice as she...got naked for a second and her armor with weapons turned into...armor again, but this time with a blue mini skirt.
What kind of jutsu was that?!?!?!
"Thank you for getting rid of it dear." an old man, probably in his late 50s came towards the scarlet haired woman.
"It was nothing old man. Glad to help😊. I best be on my way then. Bye!" she waved.
"Arigato!" the old man said once again as he waved back to her.
Oh, she was getting that big walrus away for the old man, he probably lives nearby and it must've been bothering him. I didn't see her hurt the walrus with any intent to kill, so she must be nice. Maybe I can ask her for directions...imma follow her a bit, she seems interesting, then I'll ask her where I am.
And that's what I did indeed. I followed her out of the forest, to a road, walked for a while and entered a city of some sort. The scarlet haired lady went all over the place, first she checked out a store full of armor, then a sweets shop, then 3 more shops with sweet food in it, then went all heart eyes when she saw a wedding dress. The food thing reminds me of Cho-Cho.
Throughout the little trip around the city, I realized I don't even know what city this is. I'm sure I studied every town and village that exists.
The sun was about to set, and the scarlet haired lady stopped at a little lake. I thought maybe following her was a bit too creepy so I turned to leave, but then...
"You've been following me for quite a long time now. In fact, you were there when I helped the old man get that giant walrus back into the sea. If you want help with something, just ask. But if you're shy, just know you can trust me."
She knew I was here? For that long too?! She hid her awareness really good...
Guess there's no use hiding anymore.
I stepped out from the shade. Hands behind my back. The scarlet haired lady turned towards me, and motioned her hand for me to come closer. I took small but a bit fast steps towards her.
"What's your name?" she asked.
"S-Sarada." Something about her made me feel ok to tell her anything for some reason. Usually I won't just tell someone my name. But it felt right to tell her for some reason.
"Sarada, huh? Why were you following me?" she asked.
"Actually, I'm kinda lost. I can't seem to find my way home and, this place looks very unfamiliar. Where am I anyway? In fact, what country am I in?"
I had a feeling after walking around the city that, I'm not anywhere near the five nations. Let's hope I'm wrong about that.
"This is Ishigar, in the land of Fiore. I'm going to take a train to where I live, Magnolia soon." she answered.
So I was right, I'm definitely far away from home, really far away from home.
"C-Can I come with you? I mean, if you don't min-"
"Of course not. Let's go take the next train quickly. Luckily, I have two tickets."
Well that was fast.
This time, I walked together with her instead of following her, to the train station. Didn't take too long for us to get seats.
As I sat, body facing the scarlet haired lady, I removed my Leaf headband, and put it in my back pocket of ninja tools. It's now clear, that shinobi aren't in this area. I'm not sure what people will do if they see my headband, so I guess it's safer if I don't wear it while I'm here.
"So, Sarada, where do you live?"
I was a bit taken back by the question. I don't want to, but I'll have to lie now that I know the people here probably have never heard of shinobi in this country.
"I don't really have a place. Got kicked out." that lie should work.
"Ohh, wanna come stay with me and my friends? It's only for girls so you don't have to worry about boys."
Wow, she didn't even question the 'kicked out' lie I made. Oh my god...
"I'd like that."
"Perfect! I'll talk to the landlady about it when we get back to Magnolia. But first, I have to make a report on my job."
"Job?"
"Ah, yes! I'm in a guild. A wizard guild. You've probably heard it before, its name is Fairy Tail." she said with a smile.
"What's a guild?" I ssked. I need to learn more about where I am to get back home.
"There's alot of definitions for the word 'guild' but I'll go with the simple one first. A guild is where you take jobs and complete them for a reward, money, so you can have a living. There are many types of guilds and I'm in a wizard guild called Fairy Tail. In every guild, you get the the guildmark so whoever sees it, will know you're a member of that guild of the guildmark you have. Here's mine. The Fairy Tail guildmark or emblem as others like to call it."
She showed her left shoulder (or was it right?) where the Fairy Tail guildmark was shown in blue.
It sounds similar to us shinobi. Here they call it jobs, we call it missions, here they have guilds, meanwhile we have villages, here they have a guildmark to represent the guild they're in, while we have a headband to represent the village we're from. I see how it works.
"Hey uhh...Scarlet-sama, what's it like being in a guild and being a wizard?" I asked, this time actually curious about this guild called Fairy Tail.
For some reason, her eyes widened a bit. She then spoke, "How about you join a guild and see what it's like. There's my guild, Fairy Tail, then there's Sabertooth, Mermaid Heel, Lamia Scale...I don't recommend going to Blue Pegasus tho😅."
She giggled a bit, which didn't last long, cuz then she asked me something.
"By the way, 'Scarlet-sama'? I don't think I told you my name, which I'm sorry I didn't tell you. But where did that name come from?"
"Oh, uh...well. That's the colour of your hair. Scarlet. So I just, thought of that. In fact, I just realized you didn't tell me your name, nor did I ask what it was so it's ok. Is it a bad name?"
"No no, not at all. I like it actually. In fact, Scarlet is my name."
...wha- WHAT?!
"I'm Erza, Erza Scarlet of Fairy Tail. Nice to meet you, Sarada😊." she held out her hand.
I slowly took her hand and shook it. "Uchiha Sarada."
