Scarlet-sama•Boruto and Fairy Tail crossover

"Don't ask me how I know this, but we'll finally arrive at our destination in two days." Boruto had announced that morning.

Naruto was immediately hit with melancholy and was down in the dumps for the entire morning until they stopped to eat lunch.

Sasuke had been telling him to try and talk to his family before those two days were over as much as he could if he had the time to brood over it.

Sure enough, after a hearty lunch, he was pumped up and was set on spending his remaining time with his family. It was only then that he noticed everyone else had been doing that this whole time. He's just late to the party.

The Uchihas were taking turns chatting with Sarada. Inojin and Shikadai's grandfathers were all over them. Naruto is still surprised about those two. His parents have bonded and gotten close to Hinata and his kids, Neji included. Mitsuki was ever popular with everyone, especially the Hokages and Ero-senin. Everyone who turned old in appearance would take a peak at Denki's tablet every chance they get. Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan were unspokenly in charge of keeping Ero-senin a huge distance from Tsubaki, Wasabi, and Namida. Ashura and Indra, along with Kakashi-sensei's dad, kept to themselves, but they watched on at the shenanigans.

Of course, the topic of Fairy Tail won't die down so soon. Everyone was talking about them the entirety of yesterday and how oddly quiet it is, but today, everyone seems to have gotten at a moderately louder volume of conversation. Naruto must admit, the rowdy bunch certainly left a mark. He wonders how Sarada even managed with them when she was in their world all alone, making new friends in an unfamiliar place so far away.

There were many relationships he wasn't even expecting from them joining the escort mission. Inojin and Natsu, Namida and Juvia, Erza and Tsubaki, Jellal and Gray with Mitsuki. Shikadai and Lucy, ALL THE GIRLS HERE COMBINED, surprisingly Jellal with Itachi, Neji, and Shisui. That was the strangest group of friends he'd ever seen. Naturally, all the young boys had a good friend group; Mental, Iwabe, Denki, Inojin, Mitsuki, Boruto, Shikadai, Natsu, and Gray. He's relieved Sasuke and Sakura didn't feel replaced by Erza and Jellal, and all four of them got along.

If there's anything Naruto's still trying to process, it's that his first child is dating his best friend's daughter, and that his adoptive child is interested in someone he knows or so he heard, and also that....Mitsuki likes Boruto and Boruto doesn't know. Nor does Sarada. But she likes seeing them together. But Boruto is literally HER boyfriend. Naruto officially doesn't understand their future Hokage, feels second-hand embarrassment for his son, and pities their teammate. So many emotions. 

He asked Sakura to check on how Sarada felt for Mitsuki and came back with "Everything's platonic between them. Mitsuki himself also loves her platonically," so Naruto can't even play wingman and make them a throuple. He prays to Old Man Six Paths that Mitsuki finds justice in his love life someday. At the moment, however, Mitsuki is in a jolly mood because he's part of Fairy Tail. He seems to be alright for now.

Naruto had been making small talk with everyone the whole day until evening came, and they had set camp. He used this time to be with his family.

"Want some help with that?" He asks, moving closer to Hinata. She was sharing out dinner that the other teams had prepared.

Hinata, "That'll be nice, please." Oh, how Naruto misses his wife. His noble, smart, kind, ever glorious queen.

He sits with her, his parents, Neji, Himawari, Boruto, and Sarada, who would come and go. She can't stay in one group for whatever reason. For a while, she's with them, then she'll be with the bonfire surrounded by Uchihas, then she'd run go to where Cho-Cho is. Boruto took notice of him watching her.
