Gray and Juvia have seen and experienced many things. Forming new friendships and interacting with the dead isn't new. Yet here they are, still doing it.

Gray was always cool with Mitsuki. They tend to have this silent connection with each other and somehow became in sync with it. Boruto was almost the same, so that was no problem. Shikadai is one of his favourite new friends here, and they don't even talk much. They just give each other head nods, and they communicate like that. Denki is one of his favourites as well. He admires the teen's understanding of electronic devices and tried using a computer keyboard for the first time thanks to him. Wasabi and Namida were pretty cool in his eyes simply bc they told him they would rather not take too much attraction, else they won't get to be underestimated and then get a chance to show off. He loves the idea, don't ask how or why. And then Himawari is another kid to protect yet also scary just like Wendy, so he has a soft spot for the kid already, plus she's clearly highly influenced by Sarada and sees Wendy influenced by Erza in her.

The same can almost be said with Juvia. Juvia understood Mitsuki's feelings before anyone else and confronted him about it once.

"Please don't say a word of it, I can't ruin Boruto's romance with Sarada. He barely even looks at boys, and it's obvious to non straight people when someone is also not straight. I already know Boruto is probably the straightest person within our friend group right now....except Jellal-san. Maybe. Idk, just don't mention it. Keep it a secret."

Juvia vowed to stay silent but felt pity for the snake teen, so she's formed a strong bond with him over time.

As for Boruto himself, she hasn't spoken to him at full length, so she can't say she's close with him, but she has definitely found her friends in Sarada's world. Inojin is a brilliant mind reader who understands detecting strange things from afar. The boy himself doesn't get how Juvia does it with a "Gray-dar," but he somehow understood since he's just as good at figuring others out with his mind reading jutsu. He's kinda cheating, but neither of them cared.

Namida is her new best friend. Namida cries, and Juvia rains. That's their little slogan for each other. She's even lent her a hand in enhancing her jutsus for being such a huge crybaby. And since Juvia is a pro at changing her wardrobe aesthethic every few months, she taught Namida how to dress to put on different roles for when she can act out crying. Changing from a young girl to a petite high schooler to a noble young lady in distress, Juvia is proud of her teachings. Namida is a fast learner who enjoys Juvia's company.

The water woman had even found herself in an almost similar dynamic to her and Gajeel, with Iwabe. Perhaps it's the brawns, maybe his trait of getting ticked off easily, otherwise his somewhat tsundere side when it comes to his teammates while also teasing them (much like how Gajeel is with Levy). It's one or all of those listed (who knows) that made Juvia gravitate a little towards the Earth Style user in her cravings for her brother figure of a dragon slayer. She absolutely misses that hard-headed man.

She's okay despite missing Gajeel in the end. She met a new friend after all. Iwabe is easy to interact with and finds comfort in how easy it is. Iwabe himself enjoys Juvia's company and forwadly stated to her when he saw her use her magic that he respects her ability in "Water Style," and one day, Juvia spotted him trying out one of the special moves she uses with her water.

"I've been trying to improve my Water Style." Iwabe explained. "Seeing how u do it kinda shot some inspiration in me to try, so here I am. Mind answering some questions tho? I'm trying to figure something out if it's alright with ya Juvia-san."

Juvia was over the moon to help and took a huge liking to the point she demanded he called her "nee-san" if he's so determined to know how she works her waves. Iwabe instantly said "no," but the urge to learn made him forget about making a fool of himself and seeing just how amazing Juvia is, he willingly began to address her as "Juvia nee-san" out of respect and admiration. She feels like this would've been Gajeel if he were actually younger than her....maybe.
