Boruto is exhausted.
Taking a total of 2 hours to finally get a sense of direction, load everyone up to leave, fly for about 30 minutes and then just jump around until everyone's chakra is replenished at 100% for Mitsuki and Boruto to make one more slingshot, they've made it to the area they had previously been when they found themselves falling from the ground.
It's night now, and Inojin, Himawari and Boruto had simultaneously located their friends and the Oakridge Town citizens safe nearby, so they all mutually decided to take their time and walk to where they were at. Inojin also let Boruto's mom know they're safe, alive, and will be with them shortly.
The group walked at a slow and steady pace, the cool night breeze calming the adrenaline from earlier with all the hustle and bustle to just regroup.
Gosh, Boruto's hungry and tired, and sleepy, and he just wants his mother. He let Hima take an early snooze on his back, so he's busy holding her. Inojin is gradually shutting his eyes but is fighting his urge to just shut down. Cho-Cho takes the chance to give her friend a piggyback ride as well. Shikadai is standing right close to them. Mitsuki is in front of him, but a little behind to Sara's right, as Sara has her hands behind her back.
She's clearly lost in thought, but every time Mitsuki turns to check on her, he's smiling, so Boruto knows Sara's okay. He'd like to have a moment with her alone. Just to check on her himself.
The entire walk ends up in a comfortable silence. The second they see a bonfire with tents a good few steps away, Boruto swears he hears a few stomachs growls.
Shira-san, or his grandmother Kushina, spots them first with a cheerful and energetic wave of a hand. She, along with Miyake-san, came to check on them. Some kids run towards them asking if they were alright, and that caused more commotion, so everyone else noticed them. His mother included. She took hold of Hima instantly and gestured her head for us to follow her inside a tent.
We all settled down on the fabric of the tent, as mom tucked Hima in her blanket. She then turned to us.
"Where's Fairy Tail?" Guess we're going with the big elephant.
Sara answered, "They defeated Fearsome and then left to their world."
"Oh!" Mom says a bit deflated, "That's a shame. We didn't get to say goodbye."
"I still have the Fairy Tail book. We can still ask them to come over, and we can do the same." Sarada reassures her.
"That's good. Is everyone else alright? I see injuries already tended to, but I'm still asking."
Shikadai, "Everyone's doing okay. But did you know your son has a visual jutsu?" His mother looks at him with her mouth opened. "What?"
"He has a what?!" A voice comes from outside the tent. A voice Boruto is now dreading.
Boruto, "Menma-kun, what are you doing?"
"Ahahaha....nothing just. I was um...natured called?" He says as he makes his way inside the tent.
Boruto raises a brow, "Does that involve you and several others overhearing our discussion?"
Menma blinked and laughed awkwardly. Just like that, Boruto's grandparents, Jiraiya, Sasuke-san, and Yuri-san come filing in.
His mother paid no mind and refocused on him. "What's this about you having a visual jutsu? Is it the Byakugan?"
Now it's Boruto's turn to laugh awkwardly. "Ahaha well. It's kinda like that? I mean, it works sorta the same, but it isn't the Byakugan dattebasa. I see more than just chakra within a person's body, and I see things more like a really zoomed in binoculars? Just not only straight ahead but from other directions as well. 360° like the Byakugan, and I also see things and people for what they really are so... There's that."
