The ninja returned to the monastery hungry and tired from their epic battle

The moment they all got into the living room, they collapsed onto the long, black couch

"Ahhh..." They collectively sighed

Wu walked into the living room to go and greet the ninja after a hard day. "Long day, hm?"

Lloyd chuckled, "Oh man, Wu...you should've seen him...!"

"Them." Cole corrected

"Right..." Lloyd said, rolling his eyes a little bit

"I think they broke my tit..." Nya groaned, still holding her stomach and chest

Kai tried to sit up but Zane pulled him back down into his lap. "You're still injured, Love." Zane said, rubbing Kai's forehead with his thumb, Kai groaned when he felt Zane's thumb run over the band-aid patch on his forehead

"Who was that bitch though?" Cole asked, "Ain't never seen them in my life."

"Yeah, they were super tough to defeat." Jay groaned

Lloyd sat up a bit before turning his head to face Jay. "Speaking of which, how did you wake yourself up in HeartBreaker's tank bag?"

All eyes on Jay

Now, were HeartBreaker's illusions really fucking cool? Yes

Did Jay really want to talk to his friends about said super cool paradox? Yes

But did Jay really wanna tell all his friends about how he got out of said super cool paradox? Haha...no.

"Uh, it was like, they made you feel heartbreak so you could leave, but I just had to feel enough love to reverse the feeling and wake up."

"Oh," Lloyd said, sitting back, "That's actually more simple than I thought I would be."

"So why were you out for so long?" Kai grumbled

"What do you mean? I was there for like 15 minutes." Jay giggled

"Um, no." Zane smiled. "You were asleep for approximately 37 minutes and 23 seconds."

"Woah..." Jay exclaimed. Had he really been out for that long?

"Yeah, pretty sure you was mumblin' weird shit too. Eyes open and everything." Cole said again, pushing his finger into the side of Jay's face

"Hey...!" Jay yelled, swatting the taller boy's hand away

Nya had gotten up to go take a shower, while the boys sat around the living room

Cole turned to Jay, "Wanna go for a ride?"

Jay and Cole did this about once every week, they got on his Rock Cycle and drove around town, sometimes stopping for treats and goodies

"Oo! Yes, c'mon!" Jay exclaimed, jumping to his feet and running outside

"Hey! The chief texted, go see him real quick!" Kai called out

"Aight." Cole smiled before shutting the monastery door

The wind engulfed the two boys whole as they zoomed through the streets of Ninjago, laughing and talking the whole way

"Aye, we gotta go see the chief 'fore we do anything." Cole said

"Aw man, but we were gonna go see Dareth." Jay pouted, placing his face on Cole's back

Cole laughed, "Trust me, he ain't runnin' nowhere."

The Rock Cycle came to a stop in front of the police station and the two friends stepped inside. When they walked in, the chief was speaking with the receptionist before he noticed them.

"Jay, Cole, thanks for coming." Chief said as he walked up to the two

"No problem. What do you need, chief?" Jay asked while he looked around

"It's the villain from earlier. We think he's working under someone but he won't confess to anything. Can you go and grease him up a bit?"

"Of course." Jay nodded. The chief fastened small microphones to both Jay and Cole's gi's and led them to the interview room

Cole held the door open for Jay and the two came face to face with HeartBreaker. They had their tank bag and weapons taken and were in handcuffs, the cup of water on the table stood idle and the police officer in the corner of the room looked overly irritated until Cole gestured him out, signaling that they had it under control

The dark skinned boy closed the door while Jay took a seat in one of the two chairs at the table, when Cole say down next to him, everyone in the room was quiet, waiting for another person to say something first.

"Ugh, look," Cole groaned, putting his arms up behind his head, "they think you workin' for somebody. So if you is then just say it, 'cause we don't even got the time for this, for real for real."

Jay interjected, "Yeah, don't you know if you rat 'em out, your charges will be shortened?"

Silence

Jay and Cole looked to each other awkwardly then quickly turned back to HeartBreaker when they heard a small chuckle

"I already told you, I did it for myself. 'Cause it was fun." They sighed

"Okay? The fuck, and we don't believe you." Cole scoffed

"Where'd you even get a power like that?" Jay asked

HeartBreaker looked up to meet his eyes, then looked back down at the table in boredom. "I already had it."

"So you're an elemental master?"

"Tch, you wish." They scoffed with a smirk

"Fine, if you really tryna go to prison, you can do that, 'cause we just tryna help." Cole sighed

"If you're really working with someone, you need to say something..." Jay said softly

HeartBreaker looked to meet Jay's eyes and turned back down to the table again.

"Fine."

The two friends looked at each other with a smile, then quickly turned their attention back to HeartBreaker.

"You already know a lot, but you don't know enough." They started

"What do you mean?" Jay asked, the curiosity eating at the two boys as they leaned forward a bit in their seats

"Did you know...?"

"Know what?"

"Boy, if you don't speak up."

HeartBreaker leaned forward even closer to the boys' faces, a desperate look painted onto their face. In an instant, HeartBreaker blinked and their eyes became bright pink with rage and mischief, a wide grin stretched across their face as they eyed the two ninja

"...I don't need my tank bag to make magic happen."

Jay and Cole's eyes flushed a bright pink before they slumped downward and hit the table with a thud

Dammit.
