While on the way to the hospital, Gabriel couldn't forget what happened to him, at the school and to her house.
But the main important is Antonia was happy.
He still couldn't forget the smile that displayed on Antonia's beautiful face that he wants to drink it all.
For her smile is his peace, his light.
And as soon as he reached his destination, his feet went direct to the reception area and once he's done there, he crossed his father's room with just few strides and knock.
After few seconds, he opens it and saw his father's sleeping figure that lying on the white sheet with some tubes injected to his body. He lose some weight but he's hoping that he will be fine.
"Gabby, is that you?" His father asked in hoarsed voice.
"Yes Dad, it's me." Gabriel replied in soft tone, he quickly take his seat beside his bed.
"So how's everything?" His father asked and you could imagine how he has paled face and bald head. Gabriel immediately feels pity for him that he carefully caressed his hand and look at his father's eyes.
"A lot happens, first I've chosen to participate in Math Competition and then today, the school chose me to play basketball tomorrow night." He told him with smile of his lips, but his Dad's eyes widened after hearing what he said.
"What? But I told you before not to, right son?" He mufled.
"Yes, but until now you never explain it to me why I have to. I have a lot of questions but you never answer even a single one of them, and I can't live like that Dad, so please tell me, why?"
Gabriel stared at his dull eyes, but his father immediately averted his gaze and looked instead at the ceiling and shut it, like he's having internal battle if he will talk to him or avoid it again.
But Gabriel couldn't hold it anymore.
Not again as he said mentally, that he quickly stood up and pacing back and forth on the room.
"You're so unfair Dad! For years I tried to be a good Son and follow whatever you said, but not anymore. So, why? Did you kill someone? Are you hiding from someone? Tell me because I couldn't take it anymore Dad." He yelled that tears starting to form on his eyes.
"I didn't kill anyone and I'm not hiding to keep myself alive, I'm hiding because of you!" He replied to Gabriel with wide eyes, his heart's monitor started to rise up but Gabriel was stunned to his revelations that he wants to know more.
