Finale

It was such a lovely day. The sun was beaming across the sea. Parents and their kids building sand castles, splashing in the sea and enjoying themselves.

"Now this is what life is about" Tom spoke while lying on a towel, on the sand, underneath the umbrella. I was laying next to him, sunglasses on, book in hand. This was the first time in 2 months I had been able to read a book!

The kids were all playing in the sea. It was great to see them splashing around and enjoying themselves. Elliot was asleep in between Tom and I, snoring away. Just like his father.

"It really is. I love this. All of us together, kids having fun. Me and you having alone time" I responded.
"Apart from this little snoring monkey" Tom replied.
"Says you!". We both laughed.
"Mum are you coming in the sea?" Freddie shouted.
"No thanks darling, but your dad will!"
"Will I now" Tom laughed.
"Yes you will, I will stay with Elliot"

As Tom ran to the sea, Elliot woke up. I cradle him in my arms while I watched my family play together in the sea. It was the absolute best feeling in the world. The best day ever.
