It is the next day Shehnaaz was helping Sudha in the kitchen. It was the day of Chaitra Navratra Sthapana and also Sidharth's birthday in one way. She planned to make halwa for him. She can do this, if not buy gifts for him.
"Beta tu beith bahar jaa kar. Mat kar, yeh sab mai aur bhabhi kar lenge. Khel jaa ke Sidharth aur Arpita ke saath. Par pehle dono bhai-behan ko utha lena, so rahe hai", said Sudha.
Asha also asked her the same, "Khel le bachcha. Tu kyu thak rahi hai. Mai aur Sudha kar lenge."
"Ji aunty bass yeh halwa bana dun, phir jaati hun. Vaise bhi aaj Sidharth ka birthday bhi hai na toh maine socha unke liye itna toh kar hi sakti hun na", replied Shehnaaz making the 2 ladies smile.
"Arey waah! Itni achhi dosti ho gayi tum dono ki?", asked Sudha caressing her cheek.
"Nahi aunty. Dono nahi teeno ki. Meri, Sidharth aur Arpita ki", replied Shehnaaz and grinned widely.

The Gills arrived at the Shukla Niwas as they had kept a small pooja on the occasion of Navratra Sthapana and also to pray for the happiness, prosperity, good health, abundant wealth and virtue of the birthday boy.
"Shehnaaz, tu ne Sudha ka kaam mai haath bataya ya bass kaam badhaya yaha aakar", asked Paramjeet in a sharp tone.
"Arey dadi ji, vo kabhi kisi ka kaam badhati nahi hai, madad hi karti hai. Aur agar thodi bohat masti kar bhi le toh kya ho jaayega, vo bhi meri hi age ki hai. Aur mein bata dun mai bohat masti karta hun", replied Sidharth before Shehnaaz could even utter a word. His blood boiled listening to Paramjeet but he couldn't be disrespectful.
"Arey beta tu abhi naadan hai. Ladki hai agle ghar jaayegi toh yeh sab nahi chalega isliye abhi se kaabu mai rakhna padta hai", replied Paramjeet ever so sweetly.
"Agar mein naadan hun toh yeh bhi toh uss age mai hai. Yeh bhi naadan hai", argued Sidharth but this time with a stern voice.
Asha sensing a tiff between this duo interrupted, "Maa ji aap beithiye na. Sidharth ko aashirvaad toh dijiye, janamdin hai uska."
"Aaja mera puttar. Khub bada ho, khub naam roshan kar apne ghar ka. Phir jaldi se ghar mai bahu lekar aa. Aur abhi tujhe hi yeh aashirvaad de deti hu, teri gharwali ko baad mai de dungi. Dudho nahao puto phalo", blessed Paramjeet.
"Daadi ji thank you par yeh zyaada nahi ho gaya. Abhi toh mai khud dudh pita hun aur aap itne aage ke aashirvaad de rahe ho", said Sidharth jokingly and touched her and all the elders feet.
At last he hugged Shehnaaz and Arpita.
The pooja was done by 11 am and the environment was very soothing with the holy effect. Sudha then distributed prasad to everyone. When everyone was done eating the prasad, Sidharth went behind Asha and asked her for some more halwa.
"Badi maa, aur do na bohat tasty bana hai suji halwa", said Sidharth licking his lips making Asha laugh.
She served him some more in his bowl and told him that it was made by Shehnaaz who came early in the morning for this only.
He asked Arpita to send Shehnaaz in the kitchen without anybody noticing her. As soon as Shehnaaz entered the kitchen, Sidharth hugged her very tightly and gave a kiss on her forehead. He then took a spoon of halwa and fed her with his hands.
"Thank You Shehnaaz. Tera yeh gesture aur yeh halwa dono bohat achhe lage mujhe", said Sidharth honestly.
Just a mere thank you but genuine and full of feelings made her innocent heart flutter. She thought she did not do anything to be thanked.
"Arey par isme thank you ki kya baat hai. Maine sirf banaya hi toh hai. Aur sorry mein aapke liye koi gift nahi khareed paayi", said Shehnaaz but her eyes became teary at the last line. However, she tried best to hide her pain in front of him as it was his day.
He held her hands in his and said, "Sun, sabse pehle toh yeh aansun mere se chhupaane ki koshish mat kar. Chamat marunga ek khich ke. Aur kya bola tu ne ki tu ne kuch nahi kia sirf halwa hi toh banaya hai. Haina?"
She nodded and he continued further, "Yahi toh baat hai na Shehnaaz ki tera mere liye kuch karne ka sochna hi bohat badi baat hai mere liye. Aur jaldi aakar halwa banana aur vo bhi pu re dil se khush hokar koi zor jabardasti se nahi, yeh sab koi nahi karta hai aaj kal. Tu gift ki baat karti hai na vo toh koi bhi friend de dega mujhe, koi tere jaise dil laga ke wish karne ki mehnat nahi karta."
Just these words of appreciation that made her feel worthy and tears trickled down her orbs. He just wiped them and gestured her to eat the halwa along with him making her smile with a tear-strained face. She also fed him with her hands.
"Vaise bohat tasty banaya hai. Kya gajab khaana banati hai tu. Aaj se tu meri Annapurna", he said just to see that beautiful smile on her face.

It was the time for Gills to leave after a hearty lunch. However, Sidharth had tutored Arpita to make sure that Shehnaaz does not go with them. And Arpita was her smart brother's smart sister.😎
"Chalo didu, khelte hai mere room mai chal ke", Arpita said dragging Shehnaaz along with her infront of the Gills.
"Tera konsa kamra hai itne din ho gaye tu ne mujhe abhi tak nahi dikhaya", said Shehnaaz in a hushed tone.
"Arey didu, chup raho yaar aap. Marwaoge kya aapki daadi beithi hai na saamne. Abhi maine bhaiya ke kamre ka bola toh unko sadma lag jaayega", she said and giggled at last.
Some time later Sidharth too joined the girls after shooing away Gurvinder who was being extra clingy today.
"Hey girls! Wassup", he said entering the room.
"Chalo bhaiya khelte hai", Arpita uttered.
"Kya abey din bhar khelte hai ke alawa kuch nahi sujhta tujhe. Mein toh khub khaa khaa ke thak gaya hun. Ab so raha hun", he said and plopped down on the bed beside the two girls.
"Toh aapne mujhe kyu rukwaya hai", Shehnaaz asked to which he just replied, "Aise hi."
He continued, "Tu ne Rajma banane mai bhi Maa ki help ki thi. Unhone bataya mujhe. Tu sach mai bohat tasty khaana banati hai. Meri Annapurna."
This made her smile but a blush crept on her beautiful face which didn't go unnoticed by him.
"Haina bhaiya. Maine bhi yahi kaha inse abhi. Aap jab bhi kuch banao na toh mujhe aur bhaiya ko bula lena. Hum dono ever ready hai", Arpita said to which Shehnaaz just nodded.
