I can't believe I kissed her last night, I was waiting for something like that to happen for so long. It was nothing like kissing Peeta or Gale and even Rosie, it felt amazing like you could get lost in it for years

" Jesus Christ brainless your staring at my food like you wanna murder it" she said and snapped me back into present day

" Sorry" I said and ate my porridge

" I mean you don't have to apologise to me but apologise to my food, you hurt it's feelings" she said which caused us both you laughed and make me apologise to her food

" morning ladies, room for two more?"  Finnick asked as himself and Annie walked Towards the table

" for my favourite couple of course" Johanna said and invited them down

" fine, so how are you two!" Annie asked excitedly

" good, rooming with Brainless turns out to not be the worst thing in the world" she said and I smiled to myself

" yeah she hasn't tried to kill me yet" I said and smiled

" well that's good news, you seem a lot happier Johanna, what have you been doing Katniss?" He asked and smirked, and I rolled my eyes

" just being my usually loveable self isn't that right Mason?" I asked and she scoffed

" bitch you wish" she said and I snickered

" holy shit" Annie said and we all looked in her direction to see Peeta walking through the cafeteria

" how is he out?" I asked in disbelief

Nobody answered but continued to stare at the boy walking towards our table with a guard following behind him.

" can I sit here?" He asked quietly and Finnick nodded and Peeta sat down beside him

Johanna could sense my discomfort and placed her hand on my thigh rubbing small circles with her fingers. This did make me feel better but I also felt myself becoming aroused, and I couldn't help it.

" hey bread boy" is all Johanna said and Peeta looked up from the table straight into her eyes

" hi Johanna" he didn't look in my direction, he still sees me as a mutt, he still wants to kill me

" good to see you Peeta" Finnick said and my leg began to bounce with anxiety

" you too Finnick" he said quietly

" hi Peeta" I said after working up the courage

He didn't answer, he chose to ignore me and start a conversation with Annie and the rest not even taking notice that I sitting their.

" Peeta?" I said and this time he looked and still didn't say anything

" fuck this shit" I said and rose from the bench and walked away from the group not able to sit their and be ignored

I couldn't sit like that, not when he was speaking to everyone and leaving me sitting there like a fool.

" hey Gale! you busy?" I called as I seen him walk down a corridor

" no why?"

" I need to let some anger out, wanna come training room?" I asked and he nodded and followed in my direction

We entered and went straight for the weapons not hesitating like I usually would, I grab my bow and hit the targets on the exact spot every time.

" what's up with you? Why are you so pissed?" He asked and I sighed
