We had to return to the capital to go through with the whole thing, I was excited but I was also so nervous. Johanna was really Excited, she couldn't wait for a son or daughter to raise as was I, but all I could think about was the pregnancy.

We went on train again to arrive there, Mrs rose was so excited about it. We deserve the happiness of a child, she said and that made me feel good hearing that. I wondered if I do end up pregnant if it would look like me or Jo?

When we arrived at the capital it was different than it was before, Paylor decided that all the districts should be treated the same so that's what she done, the capital wasn't as lavish as it used to be. She didn't want the districts of Panem to be the same as they were under Snow's rule.

" Everdeen?" The nurse called as we sat in the waiting room of the hospital, we both stood up and walked back to the room we where called to

" now before I do anything I need to know who will be carrying the child?" The nurse asked looking at the both of us

" I will" I said and she nodded

" ok so Miss Mason ill send you with Nurse Naya and she'll start the procedure, you won't feel a thing with the new technology. Also I need you to take this pill Katniss, it will move your egg into position" she said and Johanna nodded following the nurse and I took the pill

" Katniss can I get an age, date of birth and full name please" she asked and I nodded

" Katniss Jane Everdeen, 19 years old and the 8/5/2270" I said and she nodded

About five minutes later Johanna returned and she looked fine, she didn't look like she was in pain thankfully.

" ok Katniss are you ready?" The nurse said and I nodded squeezing Johanna's hand for reassurance

" you'll be fine baby" she whispered in my ear as I was instructed to open my legs for them to insert the egg

Pain shot through my legs when she started but then it just felt like pressure. I hope this works, not just for me but for Johanna as well.

" ok all done, take this pregnancy test in a couple weeks or when you miss your next period. I hope everything goes well" she said and handed me the tests and I smiled

" thank you"

Since Haymitch and Effie are still living in the capital we decided to pay them a visit, I was shocked when I found out that they were sleeping together.

" Oh my goodness! Katniss, Johanna please come in!" Effie said excitedly as we arrived at her door

" we were just around and thought we'd come and see you" I said and we both walked in

" hello Sweetheart, sweethearts lover what do we owe the pleasure?" Haymitch said as he sat in an armchair

" so what brings use to the capital?" Effie asked and me and Johanna looked at each other

" we are trying for a baby" Johanna said and Effies eyes widened

" what?! Oh my goodness this is amazing news! Use deserve your own little family" she said and pulled me in for a hug

" Brainless is going to be carrying it, not sure how I'm going to feel about hormonal Katniss" Johanna said and I slapped her arm

" believe me, pregnancy hormones aren't gonna be pretty" Haymitch said and I rolled me eyes

" whatever, you won't even see me anyway" I said and he shrugged

" what about use any babies on the way?" Johanna asked

" nope no babies, we are pretty secure just having us" Effie said and I nodded

We hung around for a while until we had to head for our train back home, it was great seeing some familiar faces and it's great to know that if I do end up pregnant they want to be in our baby's life.
