It's a chilly day in December, I'm officially too pregnant in my eyes. We have everything ready for the babies, they'll be sleeping in our room for a while in their Moses baskets. We have a grey twin pram, I didn't want a big bright blue pram and be really flashy. Haymitch and Effie, well probably just Effie is going to buy the blankets with the names on them which I'm very excited about.

" get these fucking babies out of me!" I groaned leaning against the couch

" relax brainless few more weeks" she said and I rolled my eyes

" don't tell me to relax unless you wanna switch places with me" I said and she laughed

" she's right Katniss, you need to relax, stress isn't what you need right now"'Mom said setting her bag down

" I'm not stressing I'm just complaining" I said and sighed

" have you had anymore pains since yesterday?" Mom asked inspecting my stomach

" some, but they aren't that bad" I said and she pressed firm hands on my stomach feeling the babies

" I think these babies might come today" she said and I sat up

" for real?" I asked and she nodded 

" baby A is really low, explains the pains" she said and I was excited but also excited.

" do you wanna give birth at home or in the hospital?" Johanna asked

" my plan was to give birth here, AJ said that was fine. I wanna be in the comfort of my own home" I said and mom nodded

" well looks like two little boys are about to make their entrance"

It was like she predicted the future, because two hours later the contractions hit like a bitch, the pains where in my lower back and right at my vagina.

" your three centimetres Katniss, we need you at ten then you can push your babies out" AJ said and groaned leaning my head back against my pillows

" fuck!" I cursed as another stronger contraction hit.

" don't touch me" I said swatting Johanna's hands away from me as I rode through this contraction

" Katniss I gave him some medicine that will speed up the delivery and labour, but the contraction will be stronger" she said and as soon as I heard faster I was all for it

" yeah let me have it please" I said and she nodded grabbing a needle and liquid medicine, she injected it into my arms making me wince

I lied there waiting for the contractions, I needed to brace myself for what was to come.

they came stronger and stronger until I was pushing, or about to push, with the help of AJ's medicine I was ready to push within two hours, I feel bad though I've been cursing everyone out the whole time, I can't say that I am proud of it.

" Katniss I need you too open you legs" AJ instructed moving my legs apart and lifting them slightly

" when you feel another pain I need you push as hard as you can!" AJ said and I nodded as I felt another I began to push

I pushed the hardest I ever could, I gripped Johanna's hand for support which she accepted straight away. I was definitely hurting her because I had such a tight grip on her.

" come Katniss keep pushing!" Mom said and I let out a scream before I felt relief and I heard a cry

" baby A is here!" AJ said showing me his face before she handed him over to mom to clean him

" Romans born baby" johanna said and kissed my lips, I felt her tears drip onto my face

" ok Katniss we need to get baby B ok" AJ said and I started pushing again, this time it wasn't as hard.

I let out a painful scream and I felt that same relief when Roman was born and that sweet cry started again. My two boys have finally been born.

" Roman and Riley, our boys are here" johanna said and I let the tears leave my eyes

Mom placed them both on my bare chest and I've never felt anything like this before, it was the best feeling ever. My two boys, their dark black hair like Johanna's was so visible on top of both of their heads. I couldn't stop smiling and all the pain was worth it.

" Katniss I need to take them to weigh them and clean them off ok" Mom said and took my babies

" mom give me my babies back" I said and didn't even comprehend what she said

" give me my babies!" I said and I began to get worked up

" Katniss relax, she's just gonna clean them and they'll be back" Johanna said trying to calm me

I watched as the babies cried as they were cleaned and weighed, I wanted to up and grabbed them but the pain was still there.

" here Katniss and johanna, they are both healthy, Riley is 7 pounds 5 ounces and Roman is 7 pounds 11 ounces" AJ said handing me Riley and Johanna Roman

" my beautiful boys" Johanna said kissing the top of Romans head

" my beautiful family"
