I'm Late, I haven't told Johanna yet, I want to take a test before I get her hopes up. Incase she thinks there's gonna be a baby but it turns out that I am just late.

My hands are shaking grabbing the box that the nurses gave us in the capital, what if there is a baby? All these thoughts flowing through my head are making me nervous. I peed on the stick like the box said and left to rest for two minutes, those two minutes felt like the longest two minutes of my whole life. But finally the minutes where up

Holy fuck, I'm pregnant. I didn't expect it to happen this fast, I thought maybe we'd need another round of the implantation but obviously not.

" Johanna come here for a second!" I called and heard her footsteps travelling up the stairs

" what's up brainless?" She asked

" I'm pregnant" I said and she shook her head

" good prank Brainless, keep it up" she said and rolled her eyes

" Jo I'm being serious look" I said and handed her the test to look at

" holy fucking shit Brainless, there's a baby" she said and I nodded pulling her into a tight hug

" we're gonna be mommy's"

The shock still has barely sunk in, I can't get over it. Johanna has been going around the house smiling all day like she's won the lottery.

" I'm gonna have to speak to Anna-June about this, she'll have to get me checked out and see how far along I am" I said and sat long ways on the sofa

" how does she do that?" Johanna asked me

" there's machines, when the babies big enough you'll be able to actually see him or her" I said and she nodded

" she lives with Mrs Rose so she readily available" Johanna said and I smiled

" I'm gonna get really fat soon, gonna look like a whale and none of my clothes will fit me" I said and she laughed

" you won't look like a whale I promise" she said and I shook my head

" I'll go get Anna-June" she said and I nodded and she left the house heading down to Mrs Rose's home

" hey Katniss, Johanna said you need me. Rubie was there and she insisted that she came and seen you, I hope that's ok?" she asked

" of course yeah my best friend can always come over" I said and the young girl squealed

" I'm pregnant, found out today and my mom used to check on pregnant women so I thought you could do the same, you know take you up on that offer you gave" I said and her face lit up

" congratulations guys! this is wonderful and of course I'll be your midwife, it's an honour" she said and I smiled

" Thank you Anna-June means so much" Johanna said

" please call me AJ, luckily I had a slight feeling when Johanna called me but I did in fact bring my kit" AJ said and I sat up

" you need to lie down again and raise your t-shirt over your stomach" she said and raised my shirt over my exposed stomach

There was a slight lump in my stomach, barely noticeable but I could clearly see it. I never had much weight on me something like this was clearly noticeable for my eyes.

" Johanna would you mind taking Rubie out? I need to do an internal exam" she said and Johanna nodded grabbing Rubie by the hand and heading out

" ok Katniss this will be slightly uncomfortable but it won't take long" she said and i removed my trousers and my underwear so AJ could do her work

I took deep breaths and she done her exam, it was uncomfortable like she said but thankfully it didn't take long.

" well congratulations you are officially pregnant" she said and I smiled brightly

" you'll come to the hospital next time and we'll do a scan ok" she said and I nodded

" thank you AJ" I said and hugged her

" are use done?" Johanna asked poking her head in

" yeah, congratulations Johanna, you've got a baby on the way" she said and Johanna ran over and hugged me
