Part 30

It's been five months since Mattheo asked me to be his girlfriend, I feel like there's still some hope for us yet. I am deeply in love with the man I had grown to hate when I was younger and life couldn't be any better.

Things have been going great since Raven's been back, I feel like I have my best friend back. I begged her to stay and I haven't regretted it yet...

The dark lord has a meeting tonight, and it is important for everyone to be there. Said on the note "Important, you must attend". I might excuse myself from attending because if I'm honest my life has been better since Raven came back and when Mattheo asked me to be his girlfriend.

I walk up to my bed and see a mysterious looking note lying face down on the mattress. I carefully opened it and I read it quickly, as my eyes scanned the letter excitement builds in my stomach.

Meet me out by the lake at 5 :) I have a surprise for you...

It's already 4.45 pm, how on this earth will I ever get dressed in time! He could've warned me sooner. I run towards my closets and grab the nearest red dress I had, I threw it on like nothing else mattered before Pansy came barging in complaining about Blaise. 

'Where are you going?' She nosily asked as I smiled.

'Mattheo asked me to meet him by the lake' I shrugged and tried to ignore her eyes staring into the back of my head. 

I struggled to get my mascara on and ended up smearing it everywhere, I've always been horrible at makeup. No wonder why I try not to wear it. 

'Here give me that' Pansy said gripping the stick out of my hand while she fixed and touched up the places where I had done terribly at. 'You look beautiful, now go' She smiled as I walked off to meet Mattheo.

I walked towards the lake and I'm met with the most beautiful candles and flowers glowing on the water. It looked just like a dream. 

'Do you like it?' Mattheo's soft voice beamed and I swiftly turned around to meet with his beautiful brown eyes. 

'I love it' I breathed out taking in my surroundings, it was truly wonderful. 

I pressed my lips against his cheek and gave him a slight peck while he led me to a small grey blanket beside the water. The grass was overgrown and the lights shone off the water gracefully. 

'I brought some food, since we missed dinner' He said, placing breads, cakes and fruits on the blanket. 

I instantly took some strawberries and shoved them into my mouth, not very lady-like I must say. Mattheo just stared and smiled while eating a bread slice of his own. After what felt like forever we had finished most of the food and what was left was a few cakes and crumbs of what we had ate. 

 'You're so beautiful love' He adoringly announced which made me blush a lot. 

'You're beautiful too Mattheo' I laughed trying to hide the very much aggressive blush my cheeks were now holding. 

He stood up and I followed shortly after him. 

'I need to ask you a question, you don't have to say yes or anything like that. I understand if it's too early-' 

'Just ask the question Mattheo' I cut him off and he suddenly looked flustered like a nervous wreck. 

He moves swiftly down onto one knee and the air is knocked out of me. My breathing becomes deeper as my mind races waiting impatiently for him to ask the question. 

'Would you, Faye Snape marry me?' He says while smiling like he'd won a million dollars. 

I jumped down onto him and wrapped my arms tightly around his neck. 

'Yes! Yes! yes, a million times yes!' I screamed in excitement, I'm engaged to the Mattheo riddle.

I wish this moment would last forever......
