I just remembered I have a LOT of fics and an entire AU I don't want to go back to post... It's a borrower AU. Borrowers is a book on it's own, idk how to explain it properly, but it's basically little people that live in your walls and it's not creepy as far as I know? /hj
But yeah... uh... they "borrow" stuff people won't miss and live off whatever the humans have lying around their houses. From what I read on wikipedia, the humans are either called "human beans" or "big people" so I guess it depends on what your reading/watching.
