Chapter 12

Agustin's POV

I was walking around, trying to find some woods to chop. "Hmm let's see there'' I said to myself and went to the forest. I wandered my eyes and saw that there's some branch I can chop, not too big and not too small wood. I tighten my grip on my axe that I've been holding for a while now. I swung my axe to cut the wood but once again, I didn't notice the beehive. "Here we go again" I said and sighed and started running, leaving my axe behind.

I ran as fast as I could but some bees are just fast. One bee managed to stab me with those little things on their butt, but that one thing made me ran faster and I couldn't help but scream. 'Julieta would be mad at me again'-_-. "AHHHH!" I looked beside me and surprisingly saw Bruno and he's like panicking? He's too busy to run that he didn't even noticed me. I decided to ran beside him and ask what' happening. The bees also decided to stop following me THANK GOODNESS I just got hit 1 time. "Hey, Bruno" I called him and put my hand on his shoulder. He looked at me with a terrified face that shocked me.

We stopped running, trying to catch our breath. "What's wrong?" I asked him and he just looked like he's gonna cry. Okay? He didn't even bother to answer me when he started running again. I decided to follow him out of curiosity even though my legs hurt. "Hey c'mon, answer me" I told him and he looked at me for a second before looking ahead again. "I-I had a vision.......Just follow me" Well I'm really gonna follow you even though you don't tell me to.

We continued running and I realized that we're heading to the mountains. We stopped running when we got to the end of the forest. I saw Bruno grabbed some stick that confused me. I was again to ask him question when he started running. I looked at where he's trying to go and saw that there's 2 people fighting? "Wait". I walked towards them and I felt my world stopped.

It's Mirabel. She's laying on the ground and the man kicked her on the side. Seeing this happening made my blood boil. Bruno is now closer to them and before the man could kick Mirabel again, Bruno hit the man with the stick he was holding that made the man unconscious. I ran towards them and saw Mirabel looked at us and smiled before passing out. "Oh shi-..... hang in there, Mirabel"

Bruno panicked that he don't even know what to do. I kneeled on the ground and pulled my daughter's body carefully. I watched her with a shocked face when I saw that there's blood on her mouth and cheeks. Some cut on her arms and her white top became red turns out that there's a deep cut on her side. There's also dirt and bruises all over her body.

"Bruno...... let's get her to Julieta" I said not even breaking my contact to Mirabel. But Bruno didn't seem to heard me, I finally looked at him and he's still panicking. "BRUNO!" I yelled and he finally looked at me. "C'mon, we need to go to Julieta. Pick that man, he's gonna pay for hurting my daughter" he nodded and picked the man however he could, not even minding if he hit the man's bruises or cut. "Yeah, he's gonna pay for what he did to my niece."

I gently lift Mirabel, bridal style, and started walking beside Bruno. "How did you know?" I asked him while walking as fast as I could cuz Mirabel can die of blood loss. "I did a vision of course" -_-"Yeah I know I mean you won't do a vision cuz you're like bored" Geez just how far these mountains are from Casita? "Well, I noticed that there's something bothering Mirabel so I did a vision of what's happening to her and I saw that's there's someone she's fighting, I also saw that she lost and I didn't bother to go any further, I went to them and looks like I was just right in time" I nodded as we both got to our town. I stopped walking and hid behind a tree. "We can't afford for them to see us or else they'll panic" he nodded at my statement and started walking to the back of Casita so I followed him.

After some little walk, we stopped. "You take this man and I'll hide Mirabel to where I used to hide. Don't worry we have Julieta's snack" Bruno said as I nodded and I saw him drop the man carelessly that made the man groaned but not enough to wake him up.

I handed him Mirabel and he nodded at me and started walking to God knows where. I looked at the man on the ground and carried him to the nursery room since no one goes there anymore now that Mirabel have a door. (Mirabel's room and nursery are different) I dropped the man when we got there and tried to find a rope and cloth.

I tied the man's hand and foot and used the cloth to tie around the man's head and mouth to prevent him from making noise. We have Dolores here. As soon as I finished tying the man, I pulled him and put him in the cabinet. I sighed and went out of the room even though I wanna punch him right now. I went downstairs and saw everyone panicking.

"Uh, what's happening?" I asked Camilo since he's the one I found first. "Mira is missing. Everyone is looking for her right now. Excuse me, Tio, I'll help them find Mirabel now" I nodded at Camilo and went to my wife, Julieta that is now on sitting. I went to her and kissed her cheek that made her gasp "Oh, Agustin, they can't find Mirabel" she sighed and grabbed an arepa and handednit to me. I ate it and the swelling on my cheek disappeared in an instant. I can't tell her what happened to Mirabel.

Bruno's POV

I placed her gently on my bed. I know it's not comfy but I don't have a choice. I still come here so I might still have Julieta's cooking here. I found one arepa and placed it on the table and grabbed a towel and warm water. I went to her and cleaned the blood on her cheeks gently but that woken her up. She groaned and was about to sit when I stopped her. "Don't sit yet and here eat this, don't worry it's clean". I put it near her mouth and she bit it and the wounds started to disappear but left the blood there.

I continued cleaning the blood but she stopped me. "I got it, Tio" she was about to steal the towel out of my hand but I didn't let her. "I insist" I said not giving her other option but to let me. "Everyone's worried and looking for you right now, you went missing all of the sudden". I said to her when I finished cleaning the blood on her face. "Yeah, I also need to change" she said and I helped her stand up.

"Don't worry us like that" I scolded her and she couldn't help but to ba confused by my words. "What do you mean by 'us'?" "Your Papa was with me there. Also, he hid the man who hurt you" she sighed and hugged me. "Thanks for saving me back there, Tio. I'm gonna change now and greet everyone to stop them from worrying." She said and I nodded and hugged her back before breaking it. "No worries" I said to her and watched her leave.
