Dahlia is Aladdin's younger twin sister. She's a street mouse, while he is a street rat. They both recently turned eighteen and most siblings would spilt up in their mid-teens on the street. But they've stayed together with Abu. They were all each other had after their mother died and father left. So this story takes place through Aladdin, Aladdin Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the Forty Thieves. But we're getting ahead of ourselves, lets go back to the beginning of Aladdin and Dahlia's story. Aladdin was in charge of breakfast with Abu while Dahlia was going to stay home. But decided to go out instead.
Dahlia's POV
So Aladdin and Abu went out to get us all breakfast. I was going to stay home and tidy up. But I thought today would be a good day to do some pick pocketing. So I brushed my hair and put it in a ponytail. Then placed on my mothers old head piece. Before leaving the place my brother and I call home.
I go to the market. Not only to pick pocket but to keep an eye on my older twin brother. Who always seems to be getting into trouble. As soon as I reach the market I spot my first victim. I start to pick pocket people.
I was about to choose my fourth victim. When I hear the guards going after my brother. "Here, we go again" I mutter and head for the roof tops. I then head towards the commotion. I reach the scene and watch in amusement as hides in a vase with Abu. I smirk, deciding to make it more difficult.
"I don't think that colour suits you Aladdin!" I call.
"There he is!" a guard shouts.
"Dahlia!" Aladdin whines as he throws the vase away. He and Abu take off running again as I chuckle. They jumped over hot coals, while the guards ran through it. I notice Abu grab a sword as I head into a building and grab a rug. "One jump ahead of the hoof beats" he sings.
"Vandal!" the guards shout. Which is wrong, we've never vandalized anything.
"One hop ahead of the hump" Aladdin sings.
"Street rat!" the guards shout. They got that right, he's a street rat. While I'm a street mouse.
"One trick ahead of disaster" Aladdin sings.
"Scoundrel!" the guards shout. I notice Abu and Aladdin outside the window. And whistle.
"They're quick, but I'm much faster" Aladdin sings. 'Take that!' the guards shout and Aladdin dodges their swords. Aladdin rushes inside with Abu on his shoulder and stand beside me as the guards appear. "Here goes, better throw my hand in" he sings.
"Wish us happy landing" I sing.
"All we gotta do is jump!" Aladdin and I sing jumping out of the window. We glad to safety. While the guards that tried to follow us. Ended up in a cart full of poo.
"That was fun" I laugh.
"Did you have to give my location away?" he asks me as he offers me a third of the bread loaf he had stolen.
"I knew you'd be safe, besides it's so fun to watch the guards fail" I tell him smirking.
"So true" he chortles. Just then we notice two young children scavenging in a dumpster. They remind me so much of Aladdin and I in the beginning. I share a look with Aladdin and we look at Abu. Who takes a big bite out of his piece of bread.
Aladdin rolls his eyes at him, while I glare at Abu. We go over to the children and give them our bread. "You take good care of your little brother" I tell the girl. She nods her head. I leave with Aladdin as Abu handed his bread to the children. "Good boy Abu" I praise as he jumps onto Aladdin's shoulder. I give him a pat under the chin.
Just then we hear trumpets. "I wonder what's happening" Aladdin muses.
"Most likely another suitor for the princess" I tell him.
"Lets go check it out" he tells me. I nod my head and we head for the palace gates. We saw a spoiled prince on a white horse. Suddenly the two children from the alley run in front of the horse startling it.
"Out of my way, you filthy brat! I teach you some manners!" the guy on the horse shouts. Raising a wipe. Aladdin and I rush forward. Aladdin blocks the wipe while I guide the children off of the road.
"If I was as rich as you, I could afford some manners" Aladdin sneers tossing the wipe back to the guy. While I watch from the sidelines.
"I'll teach you some manners!" the man snaps and kicks Aladdin into the mud. People laugh as I glare at the man.
"Look at that, Abu. It's not every day you see a horse with two rear ends!" Aladdin shouts. I giggle. As the horse looks offended.
"Oh! You are a worthless street rat! You were born a street rat, you'll die a street rat, and only your fleas will mourn you" the man sneers as he continues on. Aladdin rushes forward, but the doors to the castle slam shut in his face.
"I'm not worthless. And I don't have fleas" Aladdin states as he scratches his head. I step forward and place a hand on his shoulder.
"Lets go home brother" I tell him. He nods his head and calls Abu over. We all head home together. We arrive as the sun sets.
