Kamali is Aang's older sister. She was fifteen when she became a master air bender. She was so proud when Aang got his the following year at the age of twelve. Life was perfect for them. They may not have had parents, but they had each other and their mentor/friend Monk Gyatso. But their life changes when they received word of the fire nation moving to attack the Earth Kingdom. And discovered Aang was the avatar and would have to leave to start his avatar training immediately. Kamali knew her brother was scared and didn't want to be the avatar. So thought they should go for a fly on his bison Appa. She would have taken her's so that they could race, but her bison was pregnant with her first calf. She had no idea they would end up in a storm and frozen for a hundred years. She just wanted to cheer her brother up. How will she adapt to their new life?

(100 years ago) Kamali's POV

"Aang!" I call gently as I see him in a court yard.

"Oh, hi Kamali" he says sadly.

"Gyatso told me about what you guys talked about, are you ok?" I ask him concerned.

"I don't to be the avatar, how am I supposed to stop a war?" he asks me.

"With me by your side" I tell him with a smile.

"But the council said I had to go alone" he states.

"When do I ever listen to them?" I ask him with a smile. "If you're going, so am I. Besides you need someone to keep your ego in check" I tease and he gives me a small smile. "How about a ride on Appa? That always makes you feel better" I state.

"That's a great idea, race you to him" he says with a smile. We create air scooters and set off for Appa's favourite spot. We find him and he lands. Luckily he already has a saddle on. We climb in. "Appa, yip yip" Aang says and Appa takes off. "So how's your bison?" he asks me.

"Due in a couple more moons. I am so excited for her first calf" I tell him. "How about a race between me and Appa?" I suggest grabbing a glider. He nods and I jump off of Appa opening the glider. I shot off and Appa follows. We race around playing tag, it was fun.

(Time skip)

I was relaxing with Aang when I feel the first drop of water. I sit up in the saddle and see a storm. "Aang maybe we should her back" I say as the wind picks up. As he wakes. Lightning splits the sky and the rumble of the following thunder.

"You're right, lets go home" he states. He shoots up and grabs the reigns and screaming at the top of his lungs in terror while we go down. I shout his name as we hit the water. Appa resurfaces again, growls, but is quickly subdued anew by another wave.

"Aang!" I shout as I surface. But see no sign of him. I dive to look got him and spot him & Appa unconscious. I swim towards him and wrap my arm around his waist. I try to swim us to the surface, but the current is to strong. I start to black out due to lack of oxygen, the last thing I see is a bright light. Before everything goes dark.

(Present)

"Appa! Kamali!" I wake to Aang shouting. I groan and open my eyes, to be blinded by the sun. I raise my hand to block it and sit up. Aang knocks me down in a hug. "Kamali, you're ok!" he shouts.

"I'm fine, but can you let me up please? The ground is cold" I tell him. He lets me up and I see we're surrounded in ice. I hear a familiar gruff chaff. "Appa!" I shout with Aang. We run up an ice ridge to see Appa. Aang happily jumps onto Appa's head hugging him. As I stroke his furry cheek. Appa yawns and licks Aang, who laughs.

"Ha, ha! You're okay!" he cheers. I hear someone behind and turn to see two water tribe teenagers. Are we in the south pole? How'd we get here?

"What is that thing?" the water tribe boy asks.
