Despite what common media portrays them as they aren't deer-like hulking beasts with antlers. They look like corpses, freshly dug up from the grave.

The knowledge we have of these is strictly based on the legend and lore of natives of the areas they're found in. An interesting tidbit about myself is I'm almost always the one sent on wendigo hunts. since I'm one of the only ones who can speak the regional dialect.  So I end up having to be a translater for the team I'm with.

But back to the Wendigo. The way these appear is when a human has to resort to cannibalism. It doesn't always happen, but when it does, it's a major problem. They're quick and deadly. if one is left unchecked the path of destruction they leave is massive.

They can be killed by just about anything, but they're are really resilient. What's recommended to use against these is fire. Make sure they're nothing but ash and embers, we usually give the remains to the locals, they almost always know what to do with them.

Thats it, fairly simple.

one of my biggest pet peeves is when they're shown to be deer-like, i guess we saw the myth of the wendigo and compared it too our myth of the werewolf, and combined it. Still annoys the shit out of me. -Void
