'I can die happy'

Y/N POV:

I didn't want to let go of Asahi as soon as he was in my arms. We stood there in the street, our arms wrapped around each other, just simply taking in each other's presence for minutes. It could've been five or thirty. All I knew was that time had no meaning with him.

I smiled against his chest as the realization of what just happened began to sink in. I felt a light kiss press against the top of my head, prompting me to look up at Asahi, who was redder than I had ever seen him before.

I couldn't help but smile at his bashful nature, even after he was the one who initiated the kiss in the first place.

"What?" he asked. Usually, when he asked this question his face was graced with a look of concern or worry. But this time, it looked content. He said it in an almost playful way.

I let out a small laugh, "Nothing! I just can't believe that just happened... and I'm so glad it did."

I gave him a tight squeeze before moving myself out of his grasp. I stood in front of him for a moment, just looking at him.

He just stood there as I admired him, his lips curling up into an eventual smile. My lips couldn't help but follow his as I reached up to touch his face, slowly running my hands through his beard as I got the chance.

"Give me another kiss," I whispered as I stroked my thumb back and forth across his cheekbone, feeling him lean into my touch as I spoke.

"Of course." He whispered into my lips as he leaned down, giving my lips a quick peck before fully giving in.

His arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me towards him, locking me securely in his grasp. Being with him felt like home.

"I'm so excited now I can't just go home after this!" I laughed as I pulled away from him once again, giving him a peck on his cheek for good measure.

"Do you want to keep walking? I don't know if you were headed somewhere in particular, but the school is just up the street." Asahi chimed in, pointing just up ahead of him to where the faint glow of the industrial lights that lined Karasuno's sport's fields were coming from.

"Sure! Do you think the club room is unlocked? I'm not sure whose turn it was to lock it up, but we could just hang out in there for a bit before heading home for the night." I remarked, grabbing Asahi's hand as we walked toward the school.

"I'm pretty sure it was Noya's turn to lock up for the night, so it could very well be open." I couldn't help but laugh at Asahi's remark, knowing that if it was unlocked how much trouble Noya would be in with Suga.

"Do you think Suga would kill us if we used it and it was unlocked?" I asked, walking toward the stairs up to the room with Asahi right behind me, "I mean if Noya leaves it unlocked if it technically our fault?"

Asahi couldn't help but laugh at my comment, "I don't know, but I do know that Noya will absolutely get the brunt of the punishment if he didn't."

Right as he finished his sentence we arrived at the club room door. I couldn't help but shiver and hope that they hadn't shut off the heat for the day as the wind still hadn't let up this whole time. I couldn't even imagine what my hair looked like at the moment and I silently prayed that Asahi wasn't paying too much attention to it.

"Alright, the moment of truth!" I laughed, reaching forward to turn the doorknob.

The moment I turned the doorknob all the way and the door slightly opened in front of me, I knew Noya would be a dead man in the morning.

"I don't know if Suga will let Noya live through practice tomorrow morning." Asahi remarked as we both scurried inside as the wind began picking up again.

We took off our shoes and left them by the door before plopping down onto the floor.

Asahi followed suit behind me, immediately attaching himself to me. He hesitated for a moment before leaning down to give me a short, sweet kiss on the forehead before leaning against the wall behind him.

I looked over at him, watching silently as he closed his tired eyes and let out a sigh of content.

I took a breath in before scooting myself closer to him and leaning my head against his shoulder.

"Y/n?"

"Yes, Asahi?"

"Don't tell anyone but..." he trailed off as he leaned in to whisper in my ear, "I have a crush on you."

I let out a small laugh before letting out a fake gasp.

"No way!" my lips immediately turned up into a smile as I made eye contact with Asahi once more.

"You make me so happy Asahi. I hope you know that." I whispered to him, placing my head back on his shoulder.

I traced my fingers along the back of his hands, familiarizing myself with the feeling of them.

I knew that feeling would never get old.
