A surprise

Sophie had her silver pink sparkly back pack on as she held my hand. Her coat keeping her tiny growing body. I pull our suitcase behind us down the hall. "Can I knock" I nod she jumps knocking on the door excited. The door opened to be met with a very shocked girl "Rinny" Sophie squealed jumping into the girls arms "Sophie Lillie" Erin said shocked hugging Sophie looking between us. "Told you we would visit" I said walking over and hugging her "I haven't had a chance to unpack properly" she said as she led me inside Sophie still in her arms "don't worry mummy is amazing at design daddy tells her all the time" Sophie said waving her hand causing us to laugh. "I miss you a lot I have so much to tell you I make mummy take pictures so I show you" she said nodding "well why don't you tell me as your mummy begins to unpack" Erin said looking at me cheekily making me roll my eyes laughing.

Then Erin and my eyes met we knew what she meant. "Sophie look at me baby" I kneel down in front of my confident, stubborn, beautiful five year old. "what else have I missed Soph" "mummy was mad at daddy" I was so glad I wasn't face them now that I was busy organising Erin's apartment "oh yeah" "uh huh mummy lived in her other house she take me daddy didn't visit or see me I miss him a lot but now it's better the snuggle at night again I squeeze in the middle daddy is always cuddly in the morning" Sophie said

Sophie was sleeping. Erin comes up to me "so you and Dad had problems" I don't say anything "was it before or after bunny" "that's when it started we manage to somewhat fix it then it hit a peak again and I just couldn't" "so how long" I glance at her "a few months but we're good now" I shrug "she misses you" Erin smiles "I miss her to" "she isn't the only one you know" she nods as I hug her

"Rinny" Sophie smiles from the breakfast counter as Erin comes into the room "mummy said she show me Central Park you coming" "I wouldn't miss it" "Fly and Tin would like it but Tin is busy with Ollie and Danny and Fly is busy with Exi" Sophie said pouting "we'll take lots of photos so you can show them" I reassure her "hey maybe we can plan a to go away with them somewhere" "really" I nod making her smile "maybe daddy can come and uncle Al" I smile "we can try" Erin just laughs shaking her head "if you do manage to convince daddy to come you have to call me your daddy never misses work" Erin said making Sophie nod excitedly.

"Mummy look" she shouts pointing to the swans. "There cool aren't they" "do they live in Chicago" "yeah" I answer making her smile gleefully "they pretty" she said smiling.

Sophie was on Erin's back smiling. "Rinny Will you visit" "of course I will" "I have a concert I dancing Ace uncle Al and Jay said they coming I know mummy coming but I want you there Rinny" "what about daddy" Erin asks "I told him I cry forever if he doesn't come" "I also have soccer game they tell me I'm very good I want you to see me play" "I'll see what I can do" Erin assured making Sophie nod happily.
