Chap. 18

What?

I though he was angry with me.

Suddenly Sarah ran to me. "What are you doing? Go to the stage and answer him!"

"Is this really happening?" I asked her without moving a single muscle on my body.

"It is! Go!" She anwered as she pushed me.

Before I knew it, I was infront of the a huge crowd, the judges, and IM5; all impatiently waiting for my anwer.

"Answer him!" Someone from the crowd screamed.

"No, be my girlfriend instead!" Someone else screamed.

I felt overwhelmed, I turned to face Cole.

"Yes." I said with the biggest smile on my face.

He ran to hug me, then carried me and spun me around. I kissed his cheek.

"Come on, Marley," Said Austin, "What kind of a kiss is that?"

I blushed. I didn't move.

"Kiss him!" Screamed Sarah from backstage.

I gave her the death stare.

"Kiss him! Kiss him! Kiss him!" The crowd started chanting.

I turned to Cole and gave him a peck on the lips. When I was about to run off stage, he grabbed my arm, pulled me back and kissed me once again.

The crowd went wild. I pulled away and I ran to Sarah. She received me with open arms.

He entwined my hand with his as we were going up the hill on the Mount Everest ride on Animal Kingdom.

"I can't believe I finally get to call you my girlfriend."

I smiled. "Me either."

"You're so beautiful."

"You're so cheesy." I said while laughing.

Before he could answer me, we where going down the hill. We raised our hands. I loved the feeling I get while going through a big drop. I laughed.

The ride ended and we went to the store. Cole bought a "Conquered Mountain" shirt, he also bought me a Yeti stuffed animal. He made me name it 'Yoda' since he's obsessed with Star Wars. I agreed after he let me buy him one and make him name it Whitney, since Whitney Houston is my life.

We were walking hand in hand through Animal Kingdom.

"Oh my God," I said suddenly, making everyone jump.

"What is it?" Asked Dalton.

"We have to go on the Kilimanjaro Safari!"

"Ugh," Groaned Gabe, "Do we have to?"

"You don't have to come." I said, imitating him.

Everyone snickered, "I'll come with you." Said Dana.

Suddenly, Cole chimed in with a protective tone, "I'll come too." He said while grabbing my hand. They gave each other the death stare. Everything suddenly got awkward.

"I love animals." Said Will, breaking the tension.

I snickered, "You can come Will."

And then, we slowly pranced off to the Safari.

"Is this okay?" Asked Sarah, wearing a skirt, a crop top, and golden heels.

"Perfect. This?" I asked gesturing to my white heels and blue dress.

"Gorgeous."

We entwined our arms and walked to the restaurant.

The Microphone producers got Disney to throw us a goodbye party. It was formal, so we had to dress up. There was going to be karaoke, snacks, and dancing. Sarah and I were super excited.

When we walked in, the IM5 boys were dressed in suits, looking bored as hell. I walked up to Cole. He received me with open arms and a peck on the lips.

"You look beautiful."

"You look handsome."

"And I am going to barf." Said Dalton.

"Same here." Chimed in Gabe.

I stuck my tongue out to both of them. They snickered. I rolled my eyes.

"Do you wanna dance?" I asked Cole with a smile.

"Yeah."

We walked over to the dance floor and had the time of our lives.

Cole was on the stage singing with Gabe and Dalton. I turn to see Dana in the bar. Alone.

I walked over to him.

"Hey." I said as I sat next to him.

"Hey," He said as he took out a flask and poured it in his iced tea.

"What are you doing?" I hissed, "Put that away."

"Why? It takes the pain away."

"Please, Dana. You're sixteen, not going through menapause."

He rolled his eyes, "I knew you wouldn't understand."

He took his iced tea and left.

Just as I was about to go after him, Sarah grabbed my arm, "Sing with me!"

She dragged me all the way to the stage and handed me a microphone.

"Number 17, please!"

The intro for 'Rather Be' by Clean Bandit started playing. She nudged me, indicating me to start.

'We're a thousand miles from comfort.

We have traveled land and sea,

But as long as you are with me,

There's no place I'd rather be.'

She continued and I could see Cole cheering from the crowd. I smiled at him.

The song eventually ended and Cole hugged me. Suddenly, my phone buzzed. It was a text, from Dana.

'You deserve better, I could be better for you.'
