...~there's not a thing I could say....nor a song I could sing for your mind to change... Nothing can feel up the space... I won't ask you to stay....but let me tell you one thing.....ooohhoh... when did we... fall out of love...
oooh..when did you fall out of love with me...
Y'all know the drill. Tell me the artist and the title of the song.
I mean heyyyy.... the title is practically in the song...

"So, you know my house and I know yours. And we both know you're not gon' be visiting me. So expect me to come here every time," Miguel said as he killed the engine.
I smiled and got down, heading for the door.
I heard his door slam, a second later and I glanced over my shoulder.
  He smirked, staring at me.
"I can't believe I would say this but I actually had fun," he drawled, quietly.
   I hid my smile.
   "Well, I can't say I did," I lied.

   "Well, that's on you, Kesha."
He huffed with a frown and I laughed.
"I left a surprise for you in your kitchen," I said, referring to the meal I had prepared for him.
  "I don't like surprises."
He huffed again, opening his car door.
"Well, I assure you, you're gon' like this one."
I smiled and closed my door.

                          *****

Days had passed. Miguel and I hung out constantly more.
Always going to different restaurants and diners trying out new food.
Maddie, Zed, and I hung out mostly for breakfast, sometimes with Geneva.
Sometimes, we hung out after work. I hadn't seen Sapphira for some time now but I was used to her staying out so it was all good.

Maddie switched the channels continuously, groaning.
I chatted with Charlie, laughing occasionally when Maddie cursed at some stupid show.
The door creaked open and I ended the call as we both turned our heads towards the door.
I jumped up and ran to hug Sapphira.
I squished her tighter when she hugged me back, laughing.
  "Where you've been?"
I snapped at her when Maddie pulled me away.

Maddie gave her a brief hug and released her.
"Pierre and I have been in France."
  "What?" Maddie and I chorused.
  My jaw dropped.
"I wasn't even prepared. I mean, look at me!"
She gestured to the red sundress she was wearing and the brown duffel bag slung on her right arm.
   Yeah, Sapphira didn't own that.

   "Are you serious?"
  Maddie gaped at her.
"Uh-huh. His parents reside in France so he took me there for a little holiday. It was a surprise."
She giggled and I sighed, wistfully.
"And Kesha that place is lovely. Oh my God, Kesha. You need to taste their croissants. They have the best champagne too. His dad is wonderful. His mother is wonderful. And his family... I love them all."
I blinked away my tears. If life was trying to make a fool of me, it was working.

She hugged us as she sobbed.
We laughed but I sobbed too.
"So, have you guys used the L word or what?" Maddie said, smiling.
"Yes. I love him." She squealed.
And this time it was my turn to sob.
They both turned to me when a huge sob escaped my lips and I laughed.
"I'm so sorry. I can't believe Ira would finally settle down with one person."

Sapphira laughed as she closed the door.
"Now, that being said. I've missed you guys so much. We should do something,"
Sapphira said, plopping down on the couch.
"Together." She gestured to the three of us.

  Maddie brought out her phone.
  "I'll order," Maddie drawled, smiling.
That was one thing we had in common.
  Food.
"I'll whip up something," I mumbled, marching to the kitchen.
"And I'll pick out movies," Sapphira said, taking off her shoes.
After some burgers, chicken, popcorn, cookies, coke, milkshakes, and some hours later, we groaned simultaneously as the credit for the fifth movie we had watched, started rolling.

I sniffed as I lay flat on the floor, rubbing my stomach, dramatically.
  "Ohmygawwd." Sapphira groaned, louder.
''We ate so much."
I winced as I rubbed my stomach, harder.
Maybe that would make the excesses circulate properly.

"Because the chicken was so good. And Kesha's cookies are the best," Maddie chipped in, reaching for another cookie.
I slapped her hand away just as my phone vibrated on the floor, next to me.
I picked it up, turning it on.
~I'll be there in five - Acclaimed asshole.
I felt a huge grin coming on.

~I'm tired. I had too much to eat  - me.
~ Be ready - Acclaimed asshole.

I couldn't help but laugh. Miguel's nonchalance about things was what got me.
"Why's that shit-eating grin on your face?"
Maddie drawled as she slapped my thighs, playfully.
  "It's Miguel."
   I giggled, covering my mouth.

They both raised their brows at me and I couldn't help but peel into laughter again.
"So, is there something I'm missing out on?" Sapphira gaped at me.
I shook my head with a smile.
"Nah. Not much. We are just working on our friendship."

Then, why did it feel like so much more?
  Maddie funnily cleared her throat.
     "Hmm."
  Sapphira smiled at me.
I shook my head, laughing harder.
   "I'm serious, Ira."
"Oh God. It's past six." Maddie groaned.
"What?" I looked up at her
    "I'm late for work."
   I sat up.
"Just call in sick." Maddie brushed my worries aside.
    I didn't really like lying.
"Sapphira will do it for you," Maddie added when she noticed my uneasiness.

   I smiled, relieved.
  "Thanks."
I went upstairs to wash my face.
I quickly brushed my teeth before stalking towards my wardrobe.
I peered at my clothes before deciding on an orange top with black leggings.
A few minutes later, I heard a honk from upstairs. I  hurriedly piled my hair into a bun, before stepping out of my room.

I threw the door open and sure enough, Miguel stood there, smirking or smiling, I wasn't sure.
I sucked in my cheeks. Damn lady, calm your tits. You've been seeing him non-stop for the past two weeks.
"So?" He fixed his hands into his pockets.
"Miguel!" I heard Sapphira yell from behind us.
I giggled when he rolled his eyes but plastered a fake smile when she and Maddie came to meet us.

"So, your new boyfriend, huh?" Sapphira teased.
  "Exactly." Maddie laughed.
"See you guys later. Have fun," I yelled, dragging Miguel to his car before they bombarded us with more questions that would embarrass me for life.

"You do know we're going to a party, right?"
Miguel smirked as he pulled out from the driveway.
"What? You better take me back!" I snapped at him.
  "Yes. After the party's over."
Miguel laughed when I gave him the finger.
I noticed I was becoming more vulgar and open with Miguel and that scared me.
