                        Kesha's POV

I sat at the table quietly, sipping my coffee.
   "Uhm.. Zed is here."
I looked up at Sapphira who stood in the doorway with her arms crossed.
I nodded and a second later, Zed walked into the kitchen.

   "Hey."
He smiled as he pulled out a chair.
   "Hi," I murmured.
"How've you been? It's been a long time since, y'know, I've seen you around."
     He chuckled.

    "Yeah," I drawled.
"I've been... busy. I've been busy with um, work and school."
   "Okay," he mumbled.
I smiled and looked up at him.
   "How is it going, Zed?"
      "I'm good. I'm good."
"You look stressed, though," he added, giving me a small smile.

     Tell me about it.
I sighed, trying to not think about my very hot kiss this morning.
    I touched my lips, shuddering.
"Tell you, what! How about you, me, dinner?"
    "What? Why?"
    I giggled.
    "I'm serious"
  He smiled, watching my reaction.
"It's simple. No need to overthink it. You're stressed and I care so taking you on a date is the best thing I can do for you."
    I smiled, appreciatively.
    "I mean, thanks for caring."
     "And?" He prodded

      I sighed.
     "Okay, Zed."
He touched my hand, briefly and stood up like a gentleman.
"Okay, then. I'll see you later?"
I nodded, looking back at my coffee mug.

                          *****

I sighed as I stumbled past the crowd pushing their way out of the hall.
Someone tugged at my arm and I turned to see a brown-haired girl smiling at me.
      "Hi."
   She chuckled, nervously.
I pulled out my hand from her grip.
    "Hello?"
"I'm Anne. I've noticed you a few times including that porn scandal with Professor Michael."
   My face reddened.
  "Nice," I said, dryly.
"So, I was just wondering if you'd love to be biology study partners. I could use some real help. That man's boring, ol' plain."
   She chuckled.

"He's not. He's one of the best professors around here," I fired back, feeling an overwhelming urge to stand up for my best professor.
   "Okay."
She raised her hands in defense.
"And that's why, I would want you to be my study partner. Really need the energy."
She smiled, a dimpled smile and how could I say no?

  "Fine." I huffed.
   "Yay. Kesha, is it?"
   She smiled, squeezing me.
   "Yeah."
   "Okay. See you around, Kesha."
The breeze whipped her hair, sideways as she walked away.
I found myself heading for the bleachers against my will.
Well, today had been a long day and for some reason, I wanted to spend it alone at the bleachers.

With Miguel, my annoying subconscious taunted me.
I rolled my eyes, darting my gaze around the field.
I took a seat and plugged in my earphones, drowning out my sorrows and worries as music filled my ears.
I wasn't aware of the time that passed or when the sun had gone down. I was only aware of the person sitting beside me now, clearing his throat.

My eyes flew open and my gaze widened.
   "Hey. You okay?"
  Miguel watched me, thoughtfully.
I nodded, looking down at my hands plastered firmly on my knees.
"Well, you've been sitting here all by yourself for the past three hours ---"
  "It's already three hours?"
I yanked out my earphones, panicking, and glanced at my phone.
    4: 40. Whew.

I stood up, avoiding his gaze.
"Are you, uh, busy?" He muttered, trying to catch my gaze.
    He stood too.
Ugh! He didn't just know when to stop.
"Why?" I lifted my gaze to his face.
"We could go shopping like last time. I'm out of groceries."
He shrugged casually, fixing his hands in his pockets.

I started walking towards the exit and sure enough, he caught up with me.
   "Hey. Hey."
He yanked me gently, turning me so I could meet his gaze.
   "What's the problem?"
My gaze fell to his lips and I sucked in a breath, looking back up.
"Well, I want to avoid problems."
   "So do I."
He shrugged, his gaze flittering between my torso and my face.

"I just want us to hang out. That's what friends do, right?"
He smirked, his voice a mocking tone.
Lord, he was never going to let me forget that kiss. Not that I could even forget it, either.
    I nodded.
   "Fine."
    "Let's go."
He urged me gently into motion when I still stood there, staring at him.

I glanced at my simple orange gown as he pulled up in front of his apartment or rather mansion.
I watched him punch in the password in the glass panel above the hole in the glass.
"Just in case you were wondering, the password is Spain."
Spain? Why would he use such a random country name as the password?
And why the hell did he trust me enough to tell me the password of this big apartment?

He ordered a bunch of random stuff for lunch.
"We're not using the car tonight."
He stopped me when I headed for the car.
"I'm so full, Miguel. You spoil me."
   I rubbed my stomach, dramatically.
He led me to the balcony and my jaw dropped.
There was a black sleek Katana there.
  Ohmymotherfreakinggosh.

"Amazing, huh?" He smirked, cockiness radiating off him.
I nodded and he grabbed two helmets from the handlebar.
He tossed me a helmet and I stared at him with panic.
"I'm seriously not riding that, am I?" I scoffed.
"No, you're not. I'm riding. You'll get on the back."
   He smirked.
I rolled my eyes and glanced around.

There was a Sedan, Mustang, and Ford parked in front of his apartment and I could still spot a garage.
"Hop on," he said, climbing on.
With shaking hands, I held his shoulders for support and climbed.
"First," he said, kick-starting the motorcycle.
  "Wear your helmet."
I did that.
"Second. Follow my every movement. Don't lean the other way."
  "Got it," I scoffed.
  "Good. Lastly..."
He backed out of the balcony.
"Hold on," he said as he swerved onto the road.

  "To what?" I mumbled, confused.
"Me, sassy. Hold on to me."
I could hear the laughter in his voice
Of course, he found this amusing.
  I rolled my eyes.
  "Nice try. Not happening."
I scowled at his back and he shrugged.
"Okay. Suit yourself, sassy ass."
I folded my arms across my chest, stubbornly and suddenly, he jerked the motorcycle forward with such speed, that I had to lace my arms around his chest.

His chest vibrated with laughter and I hid my smile in his leather jacket.
I pinched him below his chest and he laughed harder.
  "Ouch, sassy ass."
"Fuck you, Miguel," I whispered and my eyes widened when I realised what I just said.
"Did somebody just say they wish to fuck me?" He taunted, a smile in his voice.
"Well, hold on tight and we'll soon have enough time for that."
He sped forward, harder as his laugh echoed around us.
