You were having a pretty terrible week. First, your boyfriend broke up with you through text. Second, you found out that your older sister died of a drug overdose, so you have to set up the funeral. And lastly, your best friend of three years who's always been there for you, made a toxic move and ghosted you. At the moment, you just wanted to disappear away from everyone and everything, but you had other friends who actually cared for you.

You walked through the corridor with your gaze stuck to the floor, ignoring everybody. You were always the happy and upbeat girl that brought a smile onto everyone's faces. But after the recent news you've received, that completely changed.

You paid no mind to the others around you and they were confused. They were wondering why the most upbeat person they met, was ignoring them. Of course, you wouldn't ignore them on purpose unless something terrible happened. Feeling tears starting to form, you quickly wiped them away as you made your way towards your personal room. On the way there, one of boys in the 501st approached you.

"Hey, (Y/n), do you want to hang with us?" You looked up to see Fives talking with you.

"Sorry, but I'll pass." You say with an upset tone and walked past him.

You didn't bother looking back, knowing that there was hurt evident in his eyes. Tears brimmed your eyes again but this time, you let them spill over, not caring who saw you. You didn't try to wipe them away, knowing full well that they won't stop. You saw your door through blurred tears and went over to it. You input your code with a shaky hand as the tears kept falling. The door to your room opened and you immediately stepped inside, letting out a loud sob after the door closed. You fell to your knees as you cried loudly, gripping to carpet weakly. Your tears came down like waterfalls and fell from your face onto the carpet. You stood up weakly as you cried more and stumbled over to your bed. You fell onto it and grabbed your pillow, hugging it for comfort. The tears kept falling yet slowly but surely, you became exhausted and fell asleep.

The news of not being your usual self spread like wildfire throughout the barracks. All the clones you knew tried to make you feel better. Boil and Waxer tried cheering you up by making your favorite dessert. Echo tried cheering you up by wanting to read your favorite book to you. Comet tried to cheer you up by wanting to watch your favorite movie with you. Hell, even Fox tried to cheer you up by playing your favorite songs to get you to smile.

But none of it worked.

They were all very concerned for you, especially Jesse. You ignored everyone the entire day and didn't say a single word. Despite this, Jesse made it his mission to get you to smile.

The 501st stepped off the gunship they were on and Jesse looked around sadly, not seeing you anywhere in sight. As usual, he asked some of the others where you might be and they responded with "she's in her room". As soon as Jesse heard this, he immediately started to make his way to your room, his brothers not stopping him as they knew what he was doing. He apologized to the troops he pushed past, not even stopping. He saw your door in view and quickened his pace, finding himself outside of said door. He raised a hand and was about to knock when he heard your voice on the other side. He listened closely after placing his head on your door, hearing your troubled voice.

" N-No, you need t-to put carnations, m-my sister hates lilies." He heard you say and you sniffled.

After a moment of silence, he heard you speak again.

"Schedule it f-for Saturday, I'm busy t-tomorrow."

Like before, Jesse was about to knock but this time, your voice was frustrated.

"Please, you need to schedule it for Sunday and put carnations instead of lilies.... I don't care how much it costs, I just need you to do it.... Kriff you then, it doesn't matter what you say about her, she deserves a proper burial!"

He widened his eyes at the words 'proper burial' and became more concerned for you. He heard you groan in frustration before hearing you start to cry. He could only imagine how upset you were and wanted to be there for you. Hesitantly, he knocked on the door but you didn't acknowledge it. You had entrusted him with your passcode when he was ever feeling upset but you were the one upset and he was there to make you feel better. He input the code and carefully stepped into your room, the door closing behind him. You wiped your tears as you sniffled and Jesse came and sat next to you, setting a hand on your shoulder.

"(Y/n), what's wrong, we're all worried about you." He says in a soft tone.

You didn't want to look up, not ready for what you're about see in his eyes.

"Please, tell me what's wrong. I'm here for you." He pressed but you still didn't say anything.

Your lips trembled as you tried to come up with something to say, something to tell him what you didn't feel like saying. Jesse used his other hand to gently lift your face and you didn't stop him. You saw worriedness in his eyes and that just about put you over the edge. You sobbed loudly as you hugged him tightly, not wanting him to leave. He wrapped your arms around you in a comforting hug, making you feel loved and wanted. He was about to ask if you wanted to talk about it but you beat him to it.

"I'm sorry for making you guys worried, it's just that I....I had a really terrible kriffing week!" You exclaimed through tears.

"What happened?" He asked, very concerned.

"Derek broke up with me through text, I found out my sister died of a drug overdose, and to top it all off, my best friend ghosted me!"

Jesse couldn't say anything but just hold you and comfort you, which you appreciated.

"I tried to set up a funeral for my sister but it was out of my budget." You said, calming down.

Hearing this, he came up with an idea.

"I'll see what me and the boys can do about it." He said.

"Really? You'd do that for me?" You asked, looking up at him.

"Yeah, we'd do anything to make you feel better, especially when you're this upset."

"Thanks, Jess."

You calmed down more and wiped away your tears, thankful you had stopped crying.

"Hey," he says, gaining your attention.

You looked up at him to see him smiling.

"Smile for me." He said.

You sniffled one last time before giving a big smile, your eyes sparkling. He smiled wider at this before hugging you again and you gladly accepted it.

Although the funeral you had was yesterday, all of the boys from the 501st, 212th, the Wolfpack, and even the Coruscant Guard pitched in and helped pay for the funeral. Because of this, you couldn't be more grateful for them and you returned to your normal self. Boil and Waxer baked you your favorite dessert and you thanked them for it. Echo got to read you your favorite book, happy you were yourself again. You and Comet watched your favorite movie, cuddling as you did so. You and Fox danced with each other to your most favorite songs. And finally, Jesse asked you to be his girlfriend and you said yes.

All of the clones were super glad you were back to your normal self again. You were very happy that you're friends with the troopers of the Galactic Republic Army, otherwise you probably would've never gotten better.
