You woke up suddenly but instead of getting up immediately, you just laid there. You only turned your head glancing at your chronometer to see that it was early in the morning, 5:43 to be exact. You wanted to stay home since you felt different today for some reason.

I'm a little bit off today, something down inside me's different
Woke up a little off today, I can tell that something's wrong
I'm a little thrown off today, there's something going on inside me

You weren't sure what it was but you knew it wasn't good. You decided to ignore it and just watch something on the holonet until you had to leave for work. You sat up and grabbed the spare datapad you used for entertainment purposes then played some random movie. While watching the movie, you couldn't ignore the negative feeling from when you woke up. You looked back at the chronometer to see the time displaying 6:27. You finally decided that you'd just skip work today.

You changed into some light clothing before you left your bedroom to eat some breakfast, trying to figure out what you're feeling at the moment. You were looking for something to eat when you received a message on your datapad. You grabbed whatever you found and started to eat it before looking at the message on the datapad, seeing it was from Kix, your mentor and boyfriend.

See, I'm a little bit off today, I cannot put my finger on it
Got up a little off today, just to play that same old song
I don't really wanna try today, I see nothing in my reflection
I'm a little bit dry today, feel like I could die today

"Hey, are you doing okay? You didn't show up for work." -Kix

You stared at it blankly for a minute before responding.

"Sorry, I don't feel so well."

"Oh, that's okay, I hope you feel better, see you soon, cyare ♡"

After seeing the new message, you couldn't bring yourself to smile. There was something wrong and you didn't know what it was.

Feel like I could die today

You realized you felt empty, but you don't know why and you hated it. You lay on your bed mad at yourself for feeling this way. You grab and wrap the blanket around yourself to feel some sort of comfort yet couldn't. You sat up and huffed, letting the blanket fall on the bed then stared up at the ceiling. Your anger had dissipated but didn't feel any sort of emotion, as if you were lifeless.

I'm a little pissed off today and there ain't nothing you can do about it
I'm a little put off today and I could not tell you why
Got a really short fuse today, everyone around me's fucking crazy
I'm a little ticked off today, a little pissed off today

Everything happened so fast and you found yourself leaning against the door to the roof; you had managed to avoid everyone getting here. You slowly opened the door and immediately felt the cool breeze hit your face. You stepped out onto the roof and let the door slowly close behind you. You then unexpectedly sat on your knees, picking at your nails.

I told a little white lie today, I smiled and told someone I loved them
I had to say goodbye today to someone that I love
I couldn't even cry today, I think my heart is finally broken
Didn't need a reason why today, I don't need a reason why today

Earlier in the day, you had visited Kix and you gave a false smile while saying that you loved him. Of course, he said he loved you back and before you left, you had said goodbye.

Kix thought this behavior was a little bit off for you but didn't think too much about it.

Back to the present, you stayed sitting on the ground with many thoughts running through your mind. Why did you suddenly feel empty, and how did this happen? You weren't too sure and just could not express how you felt.

I got a little too high today, got lost inside a sea of madness
Crashed a little bit hard today, crashed a little too hard today

Kix was able to spend some time with you for the rest of the day and was outside of your personal quarters. He knocked but there was no response, and he assumed you must've been busy or out somewhere. He sent you a message on his datapad only to hear the notification sound go off from your room. He wondered if you were possibly asleep or you had forgotten your datapad while going out. Kix then asked around for your whereabouts only to receive the same answer.

You used the stairs and had gone to the roof.

You sat on the edge of the roof but didn't have the intention of falling or jumping off, just wanting to be alone for a bit. You then heard the door open but paid no mind to it, having a feeling you knew who it was. Kix sat next to you before hesitantly looking over to you, seeing no expression on your face. He asked you if you were alright, and you hummed before responding.

I'm a little bit off today
Something down inside me feels so different

You explained how you've been feeling this way all day without knowing why. And, finally able to feel an emotion, you broke down and Kix hugged you saying that everything was going to be okay.

Just a little bit off today
You can all fuck off today
