Break

Zuko looked at the letter, which his friend Aang wrote.
„I'm pretty sure, they are going to marry before us." he sighted, putting the letter down. Aang announced his Engagement with Katara and invited them to the new Air Temple Island located in Yue Bay.
"ZUKO!" Ren bursted into the room.
She became a beautiful grown woman. Her hair was long again and her wounds were completely healed. Zuko also matured greatly. He became taller and also grew his hair again.
Three years passed.
They both were at the age of 21 now.
Still engaged.
"Did you get a letter from Aang?!"
Zuko nodded, while pointing at the letter on the table.
"They are getting married! Finally!" She rejoiced, causing Zuko to raise an eyebrow.
"They getting engaged not married." He corrected her.
"I don't think they'll wait that long."
Ren said, causing him to sigh. Zuko didn't get upset instead he stood up and went for a hug.
"I missed you." He whispered.
They were barely seeing each other because of all their work.
Zuko was busy creating the United Republic of Nations with Aang, while Ren was doing charity projects in the Fire Nation.
"I missed you too."she responded, patting his back.
"Are you free today?" He asked her, letting her go.
"I'm on my break right now. So I have to-"she stopped, as Zuko gave her puppy eyes. A sigh get out of her.
"I'm free." She gave in.
A smile appeared on his face, as he took her in a hug again.
"Let's have a date."
"A date?" She asked.
"The last time we had a date was two months ago." He reminded her.
"That was two months ago?"
Ren looked at him in disbelief. Zuko nodded while grabbing her hand and left the room with her.
"Where are we going?"
"Ember Island." He answered.
"What?!" She pulled him back causing him to stop.
"Zuko, that's too far away!"
"And?"
"We can't just go there for one day."
She stated.
"Who said we're staying there for one day?"
"No!" She refused him already.
"We still have so much wo-"
"Work, work, work. I have enough. I want some vacation with my fiancé." He interrupted her.
"But you're the Fire Lord! You have to do yo-"
"No. I'm on vacation."
Zuko interrupted her again, shaking his head stubbornly.
"With my fiancé." He added and held her hand stronger.
"And how long do you think that's going to be?"
"We'll stay on the Air Temple Island till their engagement and then go to Ember Island alone to stay there for a couple of days." He explained.
"Zuko, that's a long span that you thought of. Who's going to do all your work?"
"Don't worry."
He smiled at someone behind her. Ren turned her head just to see Uncle Iroh waving at them.
"Why are you guys still here?" He asked them from afar.
"Wait. Did you plan this trip beforehand?"
Ren turned her gaze at Zuko again. She realized only now that everything was already planned and handled by Zuko.
"We should leave now."
He ignored her question.
Ren gave in and followed him.
A little break wouldn't be bad, she thought.

"This is bad."
Ren looked at the only bed in the room.
"You guys don't sleep in the same room?" Aang asked confused, as he saw her reaction. "No." She responded, while putting her bag on the ground.
"But Zuko told me-"
"We can't do anything now. It's just for a couple of days anyway."
Zuko put his hand on Aang's mouth shutting him up before he could tell on him.
"And you don't have any other rooms?"
Zuko let go of Aang as she turned back to them and bumped him secretly on the side.
"No, I'm sorry. The house isn't completely finished." Aang lied for the sake of Zuko.
"I see..." She sighed.
Ren never shared a bed with Zuko cause he always tried to start something else.
So she was a little bit afraid.
"Come on! I won't bite." He said loudly grabbing her hand.
"I'm not really sure about that."
"Ahem..yes, whatever that's supposed to mean..i think I should go. We're going to have dinner after you're done with unpacking." Aang told them before leaving them as fast as he could.
"He's still a kid. You can't do such things in front of him."
Ren nagged him.
"A kid? He's already 17 and getting engage."
The thought about Aang as a kid brought her a smile on her face.
"He was so little back then when we first met."
"What about me?" Zuko took her in a hug acting like a child.
"You were also little. And your hair was ridiculous." She began to laugh as she remembered his ponytail and his bald head.
"Don't laugh." He pouted and asked,
"What about now?"
"Now? Your hair is beautiful." She touch his hair.
"I mean how do I look now in general?"
He asked preciser.
"I guess more manly. You gained muscles and grew taller. You also have a sharper face now."
"Do you like how I look now?" He whispered at her lips.
"Y-yes." She gulped.
"Do you want to see how much muscle I gained?"
"Yes..No! I mean no!" She came back to her senses and pushed him away.
That was close. She almost felt for his trick.
"You said you wouldn't do anything!"
"I just said I wouldn't bite."
He smiled at her mischievously.
