Epilogue

"Mommy!"
A little girl ran towards Ren, who was reading a book at the cozy fireplace on the couch.
"Hm?" She looked up from her book just to see her three year old girl holding a blue mask on her hand.
Her eyes widened as she recognized the mask.
The blue spirit mask!
"Where did you get that, Izumi?"
Ren put the book on the couch and sat up.
"I found it!"
Izumi said proudly with a big smile.
"W-where?"
"In daddy's study room."
Ren took the mask from her little hands and sighed.
"That's not a toy, my little princess."
"What about this?"
She showed a blade to her mother.
"Izumi!"
Ren gasped and took the blade from her immediately.
Izumi looked at her mother with teary eyes, as she scolded her, causing Ren to regret that she yelled.
"Did you also find these in daddy's study room?"
The little girl nodded.
"Izumi, you wait here for me. Here."
Ren helped her daughter to sit on the couch and gave her a childrens book.
"Read that, I have a little business with your daddy and will come back."
She said and stood up.
"You will behave, will you?"
Izumi nodded, as she opened the book.
Ren took the blade and the mask with her and left the room.
She asked a maid to watch out for Izumi, while she's gone.
Zuko jumped out of his seat frightened  as Ren barged into the room furiously and threw the blade at him.
He dodged the blade and looked at his wife in shock.
"What are you doing?!"
He asked her in disbelief.
"What are YOU doing?!"
She asked him back.
"What?"
Now she threw the mask at him.
It slammed on his chest, but he could catch it with his hand before it would fall.
"Where did you get that?"
He asked her confused as he looked at the mask.
Now he also recognized the blade.
"Why in the firenation would you use them again?!"
"I didn't!"
He immediately denied.
"And why were they in your room?!"
"I swear I didn't use them."
"And how did Izumi find them?!"
"Izumi- what?!"
"I don't think our daughter would search for such items! So it must be you who took them out again and she found them! So tell me, what were you doing with them?!"
Zuko sighed, as he went through his hair.
He was searching for the mask since yesterday, just to find out now that his daughter had them.
"Okay.. I took them out... but not to use them! I found the mask and the blades as I were looking through old documents... I just wanted to see it again just to remember the past. I swear I didn't want to use them! Izumi must have took them from my desk as I were absent.."
Ren massaged her temples, while closing her eyes, to make the headache less.
"A-Are you angry at me?"
"What do you think?"
She asked him as she opened her eyes just to stare at him.
"I'm sorry. I'll throw them away!"
"I hope so."
"My little birdie..."
Zuko approached her and took her in a hug.
"Please, forgive me."
He whispered.
"I'll think about it."
"I'm really sorry."
Zuko said and gave her a kiss on her neck.
"Oh-"
A sudden voice sounded in the room.
"-I thought you guys were fighting, seems like I understood it wrong."
"Uncle Iroh!"
Ren pushed Zuko away, as her cheeks were getting red like a tomato.
"No, no. Just continue."
He smiled at them and wiggled his eyebrows before he left the room.
Zuko hold Ren by her arms.
"So..where did we stop?"
"I'm going!"
She said annoyedly.
"No! Why?"
"Because you're always doing this even in serious situations!"
Zuko began to pout.
"But I love you and I want to cuddle with you."
Ren looked at him with deadly eyes.
"Cuddle? That's not just cuddling."
"Then just a kiss?"
Ren thought about it for a while before she gave in by his puppy eyes.
"You have to throw the mask away." She said before she gave him a kiss.
"I would do everything for you."
He whispered as he kissed her again because the one she gave was too short.
"Let-me- breath!"
But Zuko didn't want to end the kiss, he even hold her tighter on her hips.
"Z-zuko!"
Ren pushed him away so she could take a deep breath.
"I missed you."
He just said desperately.
"I barely see you. I just want to spend my whole time with you and Izumi even tho I have to admit that I want to spent a little bit more time with you. What if I skip work for a couple of days?"
"No. Then you'll have more work when you come back which mean you'll even not see us at bedtime."
He sighed frustratedly.
"What if I place a doll in my room so nobody will understand that I'm absent?"
"How do you come up with idiotic ideas? You're such a weirdo."
She rolled her eyes.
"But I'm your weirdo."
Zuko smirked at her, as he grabbed her hand to place a kiss.
