~~~SHEHRY's POV~~~
Fish cans, spaghetti, frozen rotis, ready to eat foods packets and an empty fridge. Iss ghar main real khana hai bhi ya Nahi?
"Shehry?"
"Woah!" I freaked out like a thief being caught red handed. Not that I wasn't one- after all, I was, in a way, steeling food. Woh alag baat hai Ki kuch mila hi nahi.
The lights flickered before turning on and exposed the owner of the sinfully sweet voice. Ehm...
"What are you doing here?" Asmaara asked, sleepily and too adorably for me to not notice. "Nothing. Just hungry," I choked out and she smiled.
"It's time for prayer. Uske baad kuch khaate hein," she said and left the kitchen.
I quickly headed upstairs to do whudhu and came down with my prayer mat. Asmaara was already siting down in the living room and so, I joined her. After spending some peaceful moments, I opened my eyes only to find her staring at me. She instantly turned away and got up, leaving me with a smirk on my face.
"So, Asmaara Khan prays, huh?" I finally asked since I don't remember her praying even once when we were on that road trip, three years ago.
"Of course I do," she sighed, folding her mat, "they are the only times of the day when I feel at peace."
"Only time of the day? Why?" I asked curiously while getting up. She stopped in her tracks and inhaled a deep breath, "forget it."
~~~PREET's POV~~~

I glared at the white and brown building as I took baby steps towards it. The early morning showers moistened the grass by the large iron gate and nothing could be better than walking on it bare feet. I am visiting my family after two years. The last time I touched these walls or sat on the garden swing was when I came here for Rajveer veerji's son's naming ceremony.

I have seen everyone in video calling but, it isn't the same as meeting them in person. And now, some things won't ever be same anyway because I would meet everyone but, the most precious man in my life; My daar Ji.

I blinked, trying to control my tears as Hussain slowly wrapped my jacket around me. "Hey- it's ok," he whispered, hugging me from behind and I smiled. "Yeah- at least he is resting in peace now."

"Hmm," Hussain whispered, kissing my hair and I wrapped his arms tighter around me. Taking a deep breath, I told him, "let's go inside," and he nodded. No one knew that we were planning to visit so, It would be a surprise for them.

We didn't need to knock on the door as the main door is always left open and there, I saw my family sitting on the dining table, with Muskan on the chair I used to sit on. I wanted to walk up to them and surprise them but, Hussain beat me!

"Moo Moo bear!" He yelled and Muskan instantly stopped eating.

The moment she looked up, she jumped off from her seat and ran towards us. Hussain scooped her tiny body in his arms and she hugged him, wrapping her little arms around his neck. "Jiju!" She giggled, jumping in his arms and Hussain laughed. I stood there, watching them bond like they were long lost siblings.

"Preet didi!" Happy came forward and wrapped his arms around my waist. I smiled and ran my hand through his hair. As we pulled away, I noticed how slim and tall he has grown; not so laddoo anymore. Then Hussain and I took turns to great everyone but, Muskan didn't let go of him for even a single second.
