*Few Weeks Later*
~~~HUSSAIN's POV~~~
I was reading a new script that I just received from an ace director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It is the first time he has approached me and I can't decide if I want to take this opportunity or not. It's not that I doubt his work but, the dates are clashing with another project. Karan is launching a new director and I am in love with that script too. They have already postponed the shoot after I decided to take a break until Preet's delivery so, it won't be fair to keep them waiting any longer or declining the offer now. But, I also want to work with Bhansali. His work is always brilliant and what if he wouldn't want to sign me again in future?
Ugh! You know what? I can't be bothered right now.
"Maha homework!" I heard Preet yelling from the lounge and I shook my head, chuckling.
I dread our children's future. Even while being pregnant she can't stop running after Maha to make sure she did her homework, ate properly and had her beauty sleep. I can already imagine her running after our kids with a belan or karchi in her hand. Much worse; jhadoo.
"Hussain yaar! Dekho she just left with her friends," Preet complained coming inside our room and I chuckled, putting the script away.
"Toh kar legi baad main homework, you need to sit and relax," I insisted as I approached her and lead her to the bed.
"Her exams are next month and this girl refuses to even touch her books," she said and I sighed. "It's ok.. She is smart. I am sure She will be fine."
"Bina parhe? It's medicine that she is preparing for."
I smiled and caressed her cheek to calm her down, "Fine. I'll talk to her, ok? Now relax."
"Yeah, I am tired," she complained, putting her feet on the bed. They were swollen like every other day.
I smiled as I knew what I wanted to do. "Hussain!" She gasped, as I touched her feet, and pulled them back instantly, "pagal ho gaye ho? Koi dekhe ga toh kya soche ga?"
"Kya sochega? Yahi soche ga ki main apni biwi ki kitni care karta hoon," I boasted and she rolled her eyes at me. "You are crazy."
"I am crazy for you, baby!" I smirked, dramatically, and pinched her nose. I pulled her feet again and softly kneaded her toes.
"You know someone else also listens to you now, right?" She giggled.
"So what? Let our daughter also know how amazing her dad is," I winked at her and she rolled her eyes at me.
"Hussain tum na-- Ahh!" Her chuckle was cut off by a yelp and I instantly slid closer.
"What happened?" I asked, holding her shoulders. She blinked at me with her mouth slightly open.
"I.. I felt something," she said, looking shocked, and reached for my hand. I frowned at her as she kept it on her belly.
"Feel that?" Her eyes teared up and I gulped. A faint and quick movement under my palm made my eyes go wide. I looked down at her belly and then at her face. My own vision blurred out of joy.
