January 21st - 1952

My hands are so close to my face, shaking... is this... blood? I turn my head and his face isn't there, it's missing. This isn't real, how do I wake myself up from this stupid dream! I should scream but I'm speechless, I'm speechless? "Abel! No, no, no, Abel! Please, open your eyes, open them!" Who is Abel? and why do I want him to open his eyes? Who is this girl, why am I in her body? I am not the one who is... speechless. "Please, wake up, wake up." I can... I can walk towards him, he's dead... no! Don't touch, don't touch him. Why would she touch him... I can feel his body, his warmth, the blood pouring from his body. "Don't take him away, don't! I remember you, let him come back please, Ethan." Ethan? Why does he have no face, he's blurry, what power is this... it's Rhain! It has to be her, she's doing this to me, how do I talk. "He didn't do anything wrong, he sent me down here, it's my fault!" What didn't he do? Who sent you? this pain... Ah, I can feel starving pain! Woah, my head, I'm... spinning, my head... stop!... I can't stop it.

The nurse looks down at her, holding her head down in place, "Hello, Lillie. You're in the nurse's office, you're in a safe place. Can you wake up for me, can you open your eyes?" She fuddles around, "I can't... my head... my head." She places a cold towel on her head, "You're in a safe space, your not in any danger Lillie, please can you open your eyes?" she breathes out a heavy breath and she's still for a moment, and it's silent. The nurse grabs a chair that is close by and watches her. "Where am I?" The nurse sits up in her chair, "Lillie, You're in the nurse's office, don't move just yet, but are you feeling any pain?" Lillie leans up, "No, I'm okay. I feel woozy and a bit sick, I want to go home. Can I go home?" The nurse helps her sit upon the nurse's bed, "Yes we're going to get in contact with your guardian, just waiting for head office." Lillie sits up grabbing hold of the mattress, the nurse hands her a cold towel and then calls into the office. "Do you remember what happened?" She nods, "I felt like my head was going to explode and then I guess I fainted... It happens sometimes." The nurse starts writing it down, "Do your parents or guardians know of this?" She smiles hopelessly, "Yes, they do." The nurse checks the box, "Have you been to the hospital for these spontaneous blackouts?" Her fingers are now grasped into one another. "Yes, they don't exactly know what's wrong, they think it's phycological." The nurse nods and takes the towel from her head and replaces it with a colder one.

January 22nd - 1952

Lillie wakes up with her head spinning, nauseous flashes running through her body. She sits up pulling her sweaty hot body towards her, leaning on her knees flowing from left to right and right to left, her eyes barely open. Confused, she opens her eyes to look for her alarm clock, what seemed like a dream felt so real, she finds it buried under her school clothes on the floor and stares at the time. "4:00 p.m." amazed she gets up for answers, answers to questions she didn't know how to form. As she walked down the stairs she heard shouting so she slowed her pace down, "She needs to be talked to, she needs to be seen by more doctors, she isn't well." Her eyes shattered, she held the railing tightly. "I will take her, but she needs a little more time to settle down, it wasn't that long ago that she was kicking and screaming out the last one." Lillie looks up towards the stairs, "I get that you're afraid, but we have to deal with this, she isn't well." and she quietly tiptoes back up, her heart pounding and her eyes watering, as she shuts the door to her room her tears fall out of her eyes, onto her cheek and down to the floor. "I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry." She clutched her hand to her face, unable to control her breathing, her body became hot and she slowly fell asleep behind the door.

January 23rd - 1952

Before Lillie gets up for school she feels a pounding scold in the back of her mind, pushing her back demolishing her spirit. She slowly starts to get ready and when she's finished she goes down to grab breakfast, she sits at the table and her adopted mother gives her a worrying stare, "Are you sure you want to go in today? You can stay home again, I won't mind." smiling softly she nods without a word, "Thank you, Susan, but, I'll be fine. I'm ready to go back now." she finishes her food and then places her plate on the counter, she looks back at the woman sitting on the chair so worried and displaced. "I'm leaving now, I promise I'll be ok, if anything happens I'll tell the office straight away and we can go to the hospital." She grabs her bag from the floor and smiles trying to reassure Susan, "Okay, please inform me.'' She then throws her bag onto her back and she leaves without another word. Lillie starts walking down the road trying to piece together all of her memory, she decides to write it in her notebook, the small details she can remember. 'The man with no face' also 'The blood' and 'A guy named Abel!' Was what she processed accurate? her conscious mind wasn't able to help but she wasn't ready for the terrors of her mind, she was frightened even to rest her eyes. "That's all I can remember." She sighs unhappily, "It isn't much, what am I supposed to do with such short information." she stares but she doesn't continue to think about it and places the notebook into her bag.

Once Lillie arrived at school the first person to walk over to her was Rhain, cautious and off guard. "If I triggered something the other day, I am so terribly sorry. I promise that was never my intention, I never expected- I never wanted anything bad to happen to you, I just wanted to talk. I am really and truly am sorry, I hope you can forgive me." Lillie looked into her eyes, so glossy and yet she felt something was wrong. "Why do I feel like I'm missing something?" Rhain stunned by her words she then steps back, "What do you mean?" Lillie shouts a whisper. "You did something to me! I know you did, these vivid dreams as if I'm actually there. What kind of trick are you trying to pull! I told you last time and I'm going to tell you again, I don't want a part of it, stay out of my life and stay out of my way. Not only are you scaring me but you're making my... you're making my parents worry, okay. They're scared and so am I." Lillie walks away before Rhain can get a word in, Rhain turns to watch her and she thinks for a moment standing still until the bell rings unbalancing her. When Lillie walks into the school she notices Cain leaning against her locker, "Hey! I was wondering if you'd ever come back. I missed you." She smiles in relief, "So did you wait at my locker to see if I'm in? Or is this some sort of coincidence?" He laughs and watches as she opens her locker to collect her books. "I've been waiting for you to come back, I heard what happened and I didn't know where you lived to send flowers so I guess, me standing here waiting for you to come was the only way I felt I could really know. It's not stalking, I was just worried, you know." She shuts the locker door and turns to face him. "I've been having bad, vivid dreams. Look what I wrote in my notes of what happened... well from what I could remember, it isn't much but it hurts to try to remember so, I try not to think about it." She hands him the notebook and his eyes widen, "Abel." She looks at him with her eyebrows raised, "Have you heard of the name before?" He nods and he looks at her, "I had a brother named Abel... he's the one that died." She looks at him confused, he tries to ease her with a smile, but the shock wouldn't budge. "A brother with the same name, huh." He looks away uneased, "Coincidences huh, let's just get to class, we'll be late otherwise." She nods awkwardly and he moves in front to get into class.

Sitting in class bamboozled, trying to revise the memories in her mind, over, over and over again. 'Is it his brother? Was he right? Am I the girl he used to know! No that's insane, this is real life nothing like that is real, vampires aren't real, I have to stop this! But how can I, Cain told me how his brother was hurt... Abel was hurt too.' She looks up and the teacher is in front of her desk, "Lillie? Are you ok?" She tried to recover from the crazy mess in her head, "Erm... Yes, I'm doing... ok." He nods and smiles kindly, 'You lied!' and he then removes himself from her desk, "So can anyone tell me about Shakespeare's work, what your favourite literature he created?" Lillie looks out to the window, watching a bird in a tree feeding a baby bird, so pure... so real.

Break time comes and Cain exits his class with a force, looking for Lillie in the corridor and then stands outside her class waiting for people to leave and examining each person's face. But she's still in the classroom in her chair sitting tightly, daydreaming out the window, he stands at the doorway. "Hey..." she turns to his voice, watching as his lips move again. "I'm sorry that I freaked you out earlier." She stares without a word, he stumbles backwards. "If I explain it you might understand your dream... would you... would you want that?" She looks away back at the window, "I thought I was crazy, but I don't understand, I don't think I want to understand anymore." He walks closer to her, "I didn't mean to confuse you, to make it worse." She gets up from her chair, stares at him in the eyes. "It's the reason why you've been so close to me, did you know this was going to happen to me! Are you doing it!" He shakes his head, "I've been held here against my will." She pushes past him, without looking at him she says. "Well I've been getting these visions without my permission so I guess that makes two, don't follow me." She opens the door with anger and it bashes against the wall so Cain stands back, she speeds down the hall and then makes eye contact with Rhain. Quickly diverting her eyes before her, Rhain steps forward and Lillie starts running to the bathroom, taking heavy breaths, when she gets in the bathroom she stands in a stall. Standing on the toilet lid, breathing so deeply, trying to catch her breath. 'I can't do this.' Her mind again is all over the place, relocating to everything she knows, holding her head and quietly shouting. "Stop, stop, stop it." Her pace slows down, her breathing becomes soundless, her eyes speed around her surroundings. "I'm okay now, I am perfectly fine." She calms herself down, tricking her mind that she's fine, closing her eyes and making her mind go blank.
