The problem with the winter months was totally the darkness of it. The way the days were over at 5 pm and darkness encased the street. Another problem was of course the cold. Especially the kind of cold that left you shivering when you came inside of a warm building. The cold that never really left you. Oliver was darting around the cafe when Caspian finally walked through the door, wiping the counter off with a dishrag. Caspian smiled at him, shivering even in his thick winter coat and knit scarf, and hat, and gloves. Oliver threw him one look, rolled his eyes, and then ducked behind the counter, only to emerge with a steaming cup of coffee. Gosh, how he loved this boy. With a grateful smile, Caspian accepted the cup, blowing slightly on the steam.
A year ago, he would never have thought that most of his free time, whether it being a break or a day of no work, would be spent in this tiny cafe. Well, moving forward, he would be able to spend his free time with Oliver in his bed instead. Especially if the other man accepted the thin silver ring in his pocket.
