"I don't care that you don't want to! The building is burning, Oliver!" Caspian yelled from the front lawn. Oliver peeked out of the top window, clutching their oversized dog to his chest as if she weighed nothing.

"I refuse! It's way too far down!" he called back. "The firefighters will bring their fancy ladder won't they?" Caspian looked anxiously at the burning windows on the lower floor, he did not really think they had the time to wait for the firefighters.

"I will catch you!" he tried, but Oliver only laughed mirthlessly.

"This ain't no goddamn movie Caspian! I will break your arms!" he called down.

"Broken arms are worth your life, Oliver!" Caspian cried. Oliver rolled his eyes, even though the head was going to his head.

"We do not need to resort to extreme measures, yet," he muttered. In the distance the sound of sirens started. Caspian could have cried with relief, while Oliver was just thankful to be able to get away from the intense heat. "See? I told you so!" he called down to Caspian. The older man just grinned wildly, sweat and soot just making him look younger.
