"Where are you?" she growled on the other end of the phone.

I pictured those painted lips upturning into a smile so devious I'd be forced to agree to anything they said. It terrified me.

"We said we wouldn't..."

My voice was fragile and, being the predator that she was, there was no doubt in my mind that Scarlett saw through the weak protest.

The growl turned into a needful whisper that forced me to gnaw at my bottom lip in an effort to fight back all the urges she set fire in me.
