Logan exited the hospital room making his way back to the double doors that lead to the waiting room. Stepping out he looked over to see his parents had made an appearance shocking him further
"Mom, Dad?" They looked to see Logan and a bright smile was shown on their faces, it genuinely freaked him out
Mitchum walked up to him shaking his hand with a proud smile "son, today you've become a father" he said "don't mess things up like me" Shira pushed him aside and took Logan in for a hug
"How is Rory doing?" She asked surprisingly
"She's good, she's actually requested Emily and Luke" they looked at him thrilled
"What are you waiting for!" Emily said rushing Logan as she began to walk to Rory room and Luke followed behind
They approached the door quietly and Emily opened it going to the sink near the door washing her hands throughly as did Luke to Emily's surprise
She walked further into the room and there sat Rory in bed next to Lorelai baby in Rory's arms as they stared at the little girl and looked up
"Grandma" Rory said softly and Emily made her way over and looked at the little girl in her arms. Her eyes wide opened looking around and landing on Emily "that's a Gilmore girl if I ever saw one"
"Rory, Logan she is beautiful and that's a crime to say that there isn't a word that truly captivates her beauty"
"Wow mom look who become such a lit freak" Lorelai smirked and Emily simply ignored her
"Grandma this is Lila, Lorelai Honor Huntzberger" she slipped her into Emily's arms and she smiled at the baby "perfect name for a perfect little girl" Emily whispered and took a seat in the chair next to Rory
"He'd be so proud Rory" she said staring at her "he's jealous he missed out on this, but proud" she looked up at Rory to who herself began to cry. It was the pit feeling of Richard not being there to experience it
"Oh Rory don't cry" Emily smiled "he's with us, I promise you the man never misses out on a thing"
"Him and gran" Lorelai joked and Rory laughed softly and Emily looked angered
"Sorry, sorry" Lorelai said
"Gran?" Logan questioned and Rory shook her head
a knock came at the door "Luke are you just standing in the doorway?" Lorelai walked over "get in here"
"I didn't know if the coast was clear" He said walking over "you washed your hands?"
"Yeah but Rory said grandma so I let them have that moment"
"Luke get over here" Rory said and he turned to see them, the little tiny baby in Emily's arms and his eyes welled up
"Oh this is going to be worse than Chilton grad isn't it?" Lorelai said and Luke shook his head
"I'm not crying"
"Aw luke" Rory said "grandpa come on it's okay" he looked at her and smiled "Luke, this is your granddaughter Lorelai Honor Huntzberger, Lila" Rory said looking at her in Emily's arms
"Wow- I.... Congratulations" he said looking to rory and then Logan "can't believe your a mother" he said "you were just.... You were just so little" she shrugged
"Not so little anymore now am I?" He nodded and Emily looked up at him and sighed "guess I'll let you hold her now"
"Oh no it's okay-"
"Remember she's not a football"
"MOM" Lorelai said "Emily I know what a baby is I have a niece and nephew" she glared at him and then slowly handed him Lila
