The Dragonfly was beginning to be filled with friends and family celebrating the special day. The inn perfectly laced with lilac, pink, white and yellow decor perfectly placed.
Rory walked outside near the stables "Mommy"she turned to see the birthday girl herself in a light pink butterfly wing tulle lace dress rushing over to her after going to visit the horses in the stables
She rushed over to her stopping at Rory's feet smiling "I got to feed the horsies!"
"You did!" Rory said with a smile
"Nana made sure I didn't ruins my drwess she said mommy would be very mad" Rory picked her daughter up into her arms as Lorelai exited the stables
"Yes I would be very mad, especially if you ruined it before your party" Lila giggled
"Hey I saved her from the dust bowl of Cletus!" Lorelai claimed "he started to stomp up a storm and I swooped her quick!"
"Like sonic speed?" Rory added
"I think I may have even been faster than the blue hedgehog to save the birthday girl from ruin" Rory smiled and kissed Lila's cheek
"Will my friends be heres?" Lila questioned
"They will and lots of family to" Rory added with a smile tucking a hair behind Lila's ear
"Hey maybe we will even get grandpa to put on butterfly wings huh?" Lorelai said with an evil grin kissing Lila's cheek
"Speaking of which, where is grandpa?" Lorelai questioned
"With Logan and Jane" Rory replied "they were greeting guests, while I promised to collect the birthday girl herself!"
"Where is Pushkin?" She questioned looking around
"Probably rolling around in the nearest patch of dirt sweets" Lorelai said which caused an eye roll from Rory
After the loss of Paul Anka two years prior Rory never really felt the need for a dog till then. She discussed it with Logan but they'd always been so busy. But Christmas 2018 Rory had finally caved after meeting the lovable Bernese Mountain dog
"Don't manifest that, then I'll have to clean him up which will create a bigger mess"
"And he'll gets timed out" Lila added, that's when Rory would give him some crate time to dry off and think about his actions
"I just hope he doesn't disturb people, remember the 4th of July" Rory said
"Who could forget, the hot dog heist of 2019!" Lorelai added which caused Lila to giggle and Rory ran her fingers through her dirty blonde locks that matched her fathers
"Is unca Finn coming?" She questioned
"I believe so" Rory said "he should be"
"He promised me a zeb" Rory looked confused
"Sweetie what's a zeb?" Lorelai asked and Lila looked to her
