They had their hands, tightly gripped on me while they began to drag me away.

Ricky's pov

The last bell of the day rings and students in all the classrooms, rush out of the doors, eager to get home. I leisurely pack away my things in my bag before walking out of the classroom, heading for the parking lot.

"Ricky! Wait!"

I let out a sharp breath and groan at the familiar, high-pitched voice. I walk through the exit doors and stop right outside them. I turn on my heel and see the blonde-haired girl looking back at me.

"Why're you so mad at me?", she asks, straight-forward.

I scoff, "You must be really stupid if you're asking me that."

She stands there and stares at me in confusion. I shake my head in disbelief at her before turning around and continuing to walk towards the parking lot, thankful I didn't hear footsteps following behind me. I find my car in the parking lot, practically jumping out of my skin when I see EJ and Gina standing there.

"What're you guys doing here?", I ask.

"You must've really scared Nini away...she's just like—disappeared.", Gina says, nervously chuckling.

I furrow my brows, "Disappeared? What do you mean?"

"She hasn't answered calls...and she never came back to lunch or classes.", EJ explains.

I let out an annoyed groan and run my hands over my face and through my hair before finally looking back at them.

"What do we do? Because...with the town we're living in right now- for all we know she just got kidnapped. Or...she hates my guts a lot and doesn't want contact with any of us.", I reply.

"You seriously think she got kidnapped?", Gina asks, a hint of fear installed in her voice.

I let out a breath, "Maybe? Nobody just disappears...and I'm pretty sure I have an idea on who could've done it if she was."

Nini's pov

My head was pounding, and my memory felt foggy. I groan and force my eyes to open.

It was dark.

I use my remaining strength to push myself up against a cold brick wall. I look around and notice all four walls were the same dark brick...and there was one cell door in front of me. My heart rate speeds up, and I begin to look around frantically after coming to terms with what happened.

"H-hello?!", I shout.

I quickly stand up but feel pressure on my ankles. It pulls me back down to the stone floor. I look at my legs and see metal chains locked around them. My eyes follow up the chain and see it engraved into the wall. I let out a grunt and stand back up. I take a deep breath and sprint forward in hopes of breaking the chains off, but no luck.

It was quiet and eerie in here. I sit against the wall, catching my breath. My head shoots up when I hear jingling of metal. I stare at the door anxiously and watch as it slowly opens up. Mayor Levine steps inside, looking down at me. I roll my eyes and avoid eye contact with him.

"Well...well...well...", he chuckles.

My eyes shoot up, meeting his creepy gaze.

"What do you want?", I firmly ask.
