My mouth shot open. Cold liquid, sticky and red dripped from my shoulders to my thigh. All I could do was stiffen my body as I realised what had just happened. "Oh my-" I muttered, looking at the pile of broken glass on the floor. "I'm so sorry."

The waiter didn't reply. He only gritted his teeth before he was away, and all eyes were on me. Shocked. Disgusted.

I'd never felt such embarrassment. I just proved everyone's thoughts of me being a stupid brainless girl.

An empty headed bimbo.

Luciano emerged from a crowd and was already heading my way, so before I could think, I made a dash for it. I didn't know where I was going. All I knew was that I wanted to hide in a hole and never come out.

Running through the hallway, my lips started to tremble holding back my tears. I rounded the corner and that was when something hard smacked against my head.

I flew back onto the ground, groaning as I rubbed the throbbing.

"What the fuck." A voice spoke. It was only when I realised how familiar it was, had I widened my eyes on the woman who stood in front of me.

"You again." I snarled at Mila. I almost didn't recognise her from how different she looked. I guessed it was the glow from my 3 months disappearance because of her.

Her dark hair was bleached blonde, her makeup was lighter and she sported a bump on her belly. A dark skinned man stood next to her, tall and looked around 20 years her senior. She rubbed her head, and when she steadied herself she gasped seeing me.

It was odd. Usually she'd bark in response. "Oh my god, Nina....how are you?"

I couldn't believe it. Did she think I was stupid?

"Fine." I wiped my glossy cheeks with the back of my hand. "Especially now that I have a porno to help me whenever I don't know how to fuck my husband."

Mila laughed awkwardly, and the man next to her stared at her with alarm. "Get me a drink of water baby?" She asked, and he walked off.

I thought now would be the time she'd snap at me, but her expression remained the same. "I like what you've done with your hair."

"Get to the point."

She exhaled, held her hips and looked down. "Look...as you can see, I'm pregnant."

"Really." I asked boredly, but my mascara smeared cheeks defeated my attempt to look like I cared less.

"I'm kind of at a point in my life now, where everything is revolving around my daughter. And I can't imagine someone treating her the way I treated you."

"Its a little late for that don't you think?"

She lowered her eyes, sighing. I hated myself for it, but I genuinely started to believe her. "When I fucked Luciano...it was because I was in love with him. And I knew how in love he was with you, so I flipped and....and I made it look like we were fucking."

"You weren't?"

She hesitated, scratching the back of her neck as if she was holding a secret that made her feel beyong guilty. Suddenly I was curious, and crossed my arms.
