Even though it's been a week, Wakatoshi and I have formed a routine. Walk together after practice and head straight to my home when we have a lesson.

He and I were approaching my home, it was around 10:30PM. Pretty late.

We walked up to the gates when I said:

"It's getting pretty late, would you want to grab a glass of water before you go?"

"I don't mind."

"Come on in then." I smiled gleefully.

I opened the gate and we walked onto the steps on the lawn.

We entered the house, which was empty.

We placed our shoes at the door and walked into the kitchen.

He took a seat at the stools by the counter while I poured us glasses of water.

I pushed his glass towards him.

"Follow me."

He did and that's when I lead him to the roof top.

We looked outside at the breathtaking view before I said:

"You're the first person I bring up here. This view is amazing at night, the breeze plays with the flowers and the trees and it's breathtaking. I want you to see it!"

He seemed eager to get up there. So much so, he went up before me.

"Watch your step!" I said.

That's when he turned towards me.

I thought he was going to say something but he didn't. Neither did I.

Author's POV:

He faced her. Plain and simple.

Whilst he did, he experienced a sensation like never before. He remembered her, but from the past.

What she didn't expect was that she felt the same sensation. Like they'd met for the first time.

He didn't know what to do, so he turned back around.

He felt unsteady on the tilted roof under him. The only thing that came to mind was to hold on for safety.

He took her hand from behind him.

She was shocked. What is he doing? She thought.

"Be careful."

They reached the flat ledge of the roof where they sat down.

"The view is like you said."

That glimpse at each other and the same sensation came back to them.

"Do you remember when we first met?" He said.

"Like it was yesterday." She softly replied, taking a sip.

"Even though we're in our final year of high school, I never got to properly thank you for that day."

"You don't need to. You were my first friend, that's more than enough." She replied.

She let out a small snicker.

"What is it?" He asked.

"It's funny to think how far apart we grew. I wish I could go back and fix it all."

"It all passed and happened. I don't blame you. No one's perfect."

"It's hard when that's what's expected of you." She said.

"I get where you're coming from."

"Really?"

"Of course I do."

She took notice of how he looked far into the distance, at the hills and flowers.

"I know you get it. You're the almighty Wakatoshi. The one who makes no mistakes."

"Exactly."

"I can tell you're burdened. What happened?"

He froze. Nothing else.

She put a supporting hand on his back and leaned closer.

"I'm listening, Wakatoshi." She assured.

He looked at her with a softened expression.

"It's nothing."

"I'm sure there's something, go on."

"It's difficult when there's so much expected from you, that's all."

"I can definitely see it."

"If I could just change it all."

"And?"

"I want the people around me to see me for who I am. I don't want people to fear me, I want them to see what I have to offer."

"They treat me like I'm not human, just a machine. They don't want to listen either, I have no way to express it."

She looked at him, then gave him a hopeful close-eyed smile.

"You need to start somewhere, and you did Wakatoshi. You expressed what you feel and that's a great step in the way."

He looked at her, shocked.

"Let them run away, I will be the first person that will listen to you."

Does she mean that?

"As for being perfect, you don't need to be, just do your best. But the key is to not allow yourself to get attached to people who don't deserve your hard work and your efforts. You just need to let them go."

"I want to fix my mistake, Wakatoshi, because I'm not perfect either. I want to be there for you to make up for all the time that I've let fade away."

She smiled at him, brighter than the moon shining above.

"See? We're both starting slow."

They laid there and talked about themselves to each other, as if making up for past time. There was that moment where he looked to his right to see her lightly smiling while looking up at the moon they sat under. As of him, he felt confused.

Why does she look like that? Have her cheeks always been that way? I never saw her eyes in this manner before.

Wakatoshi's phone rang, he picked up to hear Tendo sounding very concerned about his whereabouts.

At this point, Wakatoshi and Hana were heading down from the roof.

Hana's POV:

Wakatoshi and I headed down from the roof.

He placed his glass on the counter and put on his shoes, picking up his school bag.

I gladly opened the front door while he walked out.

Before he stepped away, he turned to me.

"Thank you, Hana. You don't believe how much tonight meant to me."

"It's no problem. I'll see you soon." I smiled.

"I'll see you in the halls like usual?" He said.

"You know it."

Without warning, he had a genuine smile across his face.
