18 | Plans and Preparation

March 21st~

After the late arrival of Taichi (who went to buy snacks) and Yusho, the team was finally complete at the Satori family household in the guest room. 

Kai asks:

"Wait where's Ushijima?"

"He's coming along with Hana." Kiyomi responds.

"We are all aware of Kiyomi and I's plans. Right?"

With an agree all around, Tendō continues:

"So, we want them to come together but only the miracle boy knows of this trip. It's meant as a surprise for her birthday in addition to our plans."

He puts his hands together and pulls a fancy face like he and Kiyomi were planning an assassination.

"They have a tutoring lesson now right?" Shirabu blurts out.

"Yep!" Kiyomi responds.

"All we've got to do now is to send him a message of where to go. Any ideas?" Tendō distributes the trick question.

"The beach's location?" Yu suggests.

"No you nincompoop. It'll be weird if he randomly wants to take her somewhere without her asking. Plus, it's a surprise." Hayato says, smacking Yu's head.

"What about we make him seem like a millionaire with a beachside house for them to go to?" Goshiki says desperately.

"Let's not burden him with an Aladdin act." Yunohama pats his back sweetly.

"Why not just set them up on a date in the restaurants near the beach?" Jin says.

"That's peculiar but when they do go on one, I'll tell you where we choose if you want to help us." Kiyomi scratches her chin.

"I have an idea related to that." Reon speaks up.

"What is it?" Tendō asks.

"Cmon man we need to figure something, spit it out Reon!" Kai screams out of frustration.

"Well, maybe we can send him a location of a restaurant near the beach and say that we need him to get food for us while Hana gets Kiyomi something."

"That's weird." Goshiki says.

"We'll have him say that we're out in the city for a meeting in the city library to discuss tactics and stuff for our next tournament. Not too fishy, not too detailed, and makes us seem smart. It's a poor plan but this is all if she asks him about the details of where they're going."

"I've already packed Hana's stuff from when I visited her last night too so this works. Snuck her swimsuit while she was grabbing a snack." Kiyomi snickers.

Suddenly, the first years jump on him.

With tears in their eyes, the second years finally explain this little burst of joy for him to understand.

In between sobs, they say:

"That's...that's such.." Yunohama starts sobbing on Shirabu's shoulder who looks highly irritated.

"This is an amazing idea, Ohira..." Taichi weeps.

"What detailed thinking..." Umeda says.

The first years take over while the second years get a lecture from Shirabu.

"What a mind you have our upperclass man!" Goshiki wipes his face.

"We thank you." Yu says, rubbing Kai and Yusho's heads while they also wipe their little tears.

"You people are so weird." Kiyomi says with crossed arms.

And so the plan was set and the message was sent.

With the press of a button, the tension of the team who were surrounding Tendō's phone like rabid animals was released.

"I did it! The plan..it has begun!" Tendō screams in joy.

"Let's do this!" Suzuki says, grabbing the bags.

In no time, the excitement pushed them to load their bags into the trunk quickly and get on the road.

While Kiyomi and Hayato were setting up the GPS and lowkey flirting, Tendō pulled out the driveway.

"How does that one saying go...let's get this concert on the street going?" Suzuki says.

"What?" Umeda stands up from his seat (behind Suzuki) to look at him.

"Show on the road." Reon, who was sitting next to him, pats his back.

"I will never understand American sayings, will I?" Suzuki sadly says.

"Never say never young disciple." Jin says.
