Sunghoon opens the box and kneeled down infront of her as a big smile plastered on their faces. While Heejin who's seating so close to them is hurting...so bad. She couldn't hide it.
At the same time, Sunoo's eyes went wide and couldn't believe what he's seeing. He thought Sunghoon was about to propose Heejin, not Siwoo. His mind kept telling him to drag Heejin out of here but it's too inappropriate.
Everyone cheered to celebrate the beautiful moment, while Heejin froze and felt numb. Sunghoon and Siwoo holds hands and walked to the stage together while being supported by many people. Heejin took this opportunity to run away from there.
"Excuse me", she said and quickly walks away making Sunoo gasped. Her table mates looked at her confused. Sunoo quickly pushed himself backwards to get up from the seat before rushing towards her.
"Heejin"
"Heejin stop"
"Heejin I said stop!"
Sunoo raised his voice making her stop. She froze into place while lowering her head.
Sunoo catches his breathe while slowly walking towards her. He stood infront of her before slowly kneeling down to see her face. It was already swollen, she's sobbing horribly.
"Heejin...."
"Don't...."
Sunoo lifts her chin up and cupped her cheeks before slowly wiping her tears with his thumb.
Heejin slowly looks at Sunoo as they make an eyes contact. She slowly pushed his hands away from her cheeks.
"Sunoo.....turns out I will never have him..."
"Why would he like someone like me?"
"I love him so much Sunoo...."
"But he love Siwoo..."
"It hurts when I'm not as important to someone as I thought I were..."
"Can I ask you something?"
"Have you ever loved somebody so much it made you cry?"
By hearing those words coming out from her mouth, Sunoo bit his lips to prevent himself from crying.
Yes....he did...
So many times....
He fell so hard for the girl....
and made him cry when he realised that she will never be his.....
A tear fell of his cheek as a sad feeling hitting him.
But it's not because he felt bad that Sunghoon doesn't love her back....
It's because...
She never noticed that he had fell in love with her....
He had waited for so long...
He really should confess to her...
"Heejin...."
"I want to tell you—"
He got cut when Heejin suddenly run away leaving him behind. He was so confused and was about to chase her until someone pats his shoulder.
"Heejin! Aigoo....Sunoo is she okay? Why did she ran away?", Sunghoon came along with Siwoo. So that's why she ran away...
"Ah...she had an emergency....so she had to come home early....", Sunoo lied while avoiding their gaze.
"Oh okay, are you going too?", Siwoo asked.
"Y-yeah, I was about to go with her. I'll go now, thank you...see you soon", Sunoo said before rushing outside and quickly looked for Heejin.
7 minutes later....
He looked everywhere but she's nowhere to be found. While panicking, he was trying to find a way to search for her.
He holds his necklace while closing his eyes. But suddenly a sudden pain hit his head making him groan. He looked at his necklace and it's flickering.
Suddenly a sound of pouring rain forms as he couldn't think of finding a shelter due the heavy pain he's feeling. He took a deep breathe and force himself to find Heejin. With all of his strength, he finally managed to teleport at where Heejin is.
It's her house....
He ran upstairs as he couldn't balance himself. He hold his head while trying to reach for Heejin. He looked at his necklace again which is flickering uncontrollably.
Meanwhile, Sunmi in her room heard a groan and a thud outside making her quickly opens the door.
"Sunoo!", she saw his condition and quickly supported him and walked to his bedroom. She placed him on the bed and tries to lay him down but he kept trying to get up.
"Sunoo...rest please"
She brushed his hair back while trying to calm him down.
"Heejin...."
"Where's Heejin....?"
Sunoo weakly said as he finally collapsed on the bed while catching his breath.
Sunmi was confused by his behavior and quickly ran towards Heejin's bedroom. She slammed the door opens and saw her crying on top of her bed while hugging her knees. She's still wearing the dress.
"Heejin"
"Tell me what happened"
Heejin who was shocked by her appearance quickly wiped her tears.
Sunmi had lose her patience and make Heejin turns her body facing her.
"Heejin tell me!"
"Why are you crying?"
Sunmi was holding her wrist tight as she began to breathe uncontrollably.
-"U-Unnie....what do you mean?"
-"Don't act like you don't know anything! Tell me what happened!"
Heejin flinched when Sunmi raised her voice.
-"I....I...."
-"You what?!"
-"The guy I love doesn't love me back so I ran away...."
Heejin said while avoiding her gaze. Sunmi loosened her grip on her wrist while slowly sat down on the bed.
"Heejin...that's all? You're crying this much?"
"Huh..? What do you mea—"
"YOU'RE CRYING OVER A GUY WHO DOESN'T EVEN LOVE YOU, WHAT ABOUT THE GUY WHO'S WAITING FOR YOU FOR SO LONG?"
Heejin frowned.
-"Unnie...I swear I have no idea what you're talking about"
-"Heejin...."
"If the guy doesn't love you...."
"Erase him from your heart, see who stays..."
Sunmi's voice became soft as she lift her right hand to tuck Heejin's hair behind her ear.
-"What do you mean? Who?"
-"Sunoo...."
After hearing his name, Heejin was completely dumbfounded.
-"Sunoo?"
-"Yes, Heejin...Kim Sunoo...
