Kai's POV

After School Time, Outside the Teitan Elementary School

While walking the street for going home, I was with Shin-chan and Shounen Tantei Kids. We heard the boys were talking about Kamen Yaiba except Ayumi who was with Haibara, was being very silent.

"I guess I have to entertain her a bit" I thought in my mind and asked Shinichi to entertain Ayumi for a bit then he nodded my response as I reached Ayumi to call her

"Hey Ayumi-chan! Are you okay? You seems down?" I asked her in a little concern face

"Ah.. I'm all fine.. Thanks for asking me! Kai-kun" Ayumi replied in a smile but I felt something is off with her.

"Oh okay.. Let me know if you need anything then ask me or Co-chan out anytime!" I tapped her shoulder as I caught her quickly faded her smile.

"Uhm... I've been meaning to ask you something. Kai-kun" Ayumi said while pausing herself

"Sure.. what's it?" I replied with a smile

"Are you and Conan-kun dating?" Ayumi asked me a sudden question in a small frown face.

I was surprised at her sudden question so I have to change subjects quickly but Ayumi interrupted my silence.

"Actually, I did saw you kissing together in Haibara's room when I was about to call Conan-kun for help" Ayumi avoided eye contact with me and broke her silence to tell me the truth

I bit my teeth and bowed my head to her "Yeah I did.. I'm sorry Ayumi-chan for not telling the truth to you!"

But Ayumi tapped my back to cheer up saying "That's okay Kai-kun! I accept you who you are and I wish both of you happiness. I will keep it a secret from the boys."

As we heard from Conan and Haibara calling us out then I thanked Ayumi for understanding and acceptance

Shounen Tantei Kids except Haibara bid farewell to us and parted ways for going home and then Conan told Haibara to get something for moving out from Ran's house which she nodded his response.
