Magtibay family has a... fascinating and mysterious history.

I'm not really the type to dig about someone unrelated to my hyung's suicide case, but since many members from that family came out as former acquaintances of my brother, I had no choice but to pull some strings behind the curtains.

At first, I only knew about their former and current job, as well as basic background. I know that the mother was currently out of the country, their father had been long deceased, and two out of three of them have backgrounds in enforcement. Both retired.

Gael, the oldest, was a former CCD. He may not be the best in that field but was effective and trustworthy enough to be part of one of the biggest scandals in this country's history— the 2012 Augustus' fiasco. Jonathan worked on that case too so I have some ideas on what transpired that time.

On year 2010, twenty-five-year-old Gillaermo Magtibay wounded his way into the PNP to do his own investigation regarding the suspicious suicide of his father inside the camp. Him, entering the National Police instead of the Arm Forces unlike his little sister was a smart move, I might say. His source must've been unlimited.

Gael's only disadvantage is that he can't hide who he is. He carries his father's face as well as his last name. Although the source is unlimited, the connection must've been a tough luck for him. God-knows how many trial and errors he'd been through.

Of course, there's a big possibility that he'd already prepared for that, still, for someone who entered the enforcement solely for justice, he needed help from someone more powerful.

There's a rumor that he got acquainted with Ryg Augustus— the sole survivor of Augustus' downfall way back 2012, but this rumor ended up as a hoax as those who claimed it didn't have any physical evidence aside from the interrogation, which is hardly concrete proof since both of them were legally involved.

What's suspicious about Gael was his sudden departure from PNP. He didn't experience any groundbreaking mission or anything like his younger sister that will render him unfit to serve. Well, I heard Gael was friends with Aseph, a former CID officer and Shaina's deceased husband. Although Gael left the enforcement months after Aseph's death, there's no guarantee his friend's death was his reason for leaving.

Did he discover the truth about his father? Nobody knows. His mouth had been shut ever since, but the theory of him joining CCD for his father was not considered as fact either in the first place. It's a strong drive, but that doesn't mean it was a hundred percent factual.

Gray, the second and the middle child, was the least mysterious out of all the three. I could confirm that hyung had been acquainted with him since hyung had many young friends way back then. If hyung wasn't an aspiring writer, he would've been a full-time instructor as he likes teaching and leading people. Gray's description about my brother was pretty accurate too.
