This Quirk allows you to 'spawn' up 8 different Jellyfish, all of which have different abilities and are named after each phase of the moon (New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Third Quarter and Waning Crescent).

The closer the name of the Jellyfish is to Full Moon, the more powerful it is. AKA, the more of the moon is lit up during a certain phase, the more powerful the Jellyfish.

Going by this logic, New Moon is the weakest and Full Moon is the strongest. But despite New Moon being the weakest it is still hard to defeat because of it's sheer size.

The Jellyfish who have the same amount of power are called Twins (Waning and Waxing Crescent, First and Third Quarter, Waning and Waxing Gibbous).

The Jellyfish work similarly to Fushiguro's shikigami: they get more powerful when they die. That's why I recommend you have New Moon and the Crescent Twins out most of the time, so they can die and be 'reborn' as a stronger version of themselves.

The more times that a Jellyfish was reborn (and therefore made more powerful), the bigger it'll be.

Because if its low pain tolerance New Moon dies often and therefore is the biggest, so it is often perceived as the biggest threat unlike Full Moon, who is much smaller but still significantly stronger.
Assuming New Moon is the biggest threat is a mistake I expect opponents will make a lot, so use that to your advantage.

All of the Jellyfish can change their power levels making them great training partners, but they can only change their power level to a weaker one. The only exception is if the Jellyfish had already shrunk it's power level and now it wants to return to it's strongest form.
If a Jellyfish shrinks it's power level, it's body will get smaller too.

If a Jellyfish was reborn 10 times in total (level 10) but it died while it was shrunk to level 5 (reborn 5 times) it'll be reborn as a level 6 instead of a level 11, so make sure to have the Jellyfish change to max level before it dies.

The Jellyfish look like most normal Jellyfish, the only difference being their size and the fact that they will release a soft whiteish-yellow glow (just like the Moon itself) when in the dark.

The Jellies, as I like to call them, have a mind of their own but if you tell them to do something they will 100% do it.

As I said before, each of the Jellyfish have their own ability.

New Moon focuses on offense. It is very easy to kill and therefore level up so it uses ita size as an advantage. It builds up strength in its tentacles and arms to jump up really high in the air and deliver a strong blow to your opponent when it comes back down.

Waxing Crescent focuses mainly on defense. It can create strong gusts of air using its tentacles and arms and by doing that push opponents away from you and give you time to recover.

Waning Crescent can make a beam of bubbles that have acidic properties. Because of the literal beam of bubbles coming your way, it is almost impossible to not get caught in one.

First Quarter focuses on healing you and your allies. Its tentacles (arms) work differently from the other Jellyfish: instead of being shocked if they touch you you actually feel a nice sensation (don't be dirty minded or istg) and are being healed. When you lift your hand/whatever you were touching First Quarter with the effect stops.

Third Quarter focuses on offense. Honestly, it acts more like a squid then a jellyfish because it can release an acidic substance out of it's mouth. It can do this intentionally or when startled.

Waxing Gibbous has a hood-based attack, much like its Twin. When underneath the hood of Waxing Gibbous you will feel a certain sensation (if y'all say ANYTHING...) depending on who you are. If you are an ally in need of healing, it will provide healing for you but if you are someone it doesn't recognize you will be shocked with electricity.

Waning Gibbous focuses on defense. It puts whoever it wants/is ordered to protect under it's hood and cancels out any and all attacks. It can stretch it's hood to fit more people, but then the hood is thinner and is more likely to let attacks pass through it.

Full Moon focuses on offense and makes an electrified field in the shape of a circle around itself. Anyone who steps inside of this field will be shocked with electricity, excluding you.

One ability they all have in common is that they can glide through the air.
