Toto had offered Skye George's Mercedes seat for the last race he couldn't be apart of. Happily, Skye agreed and was now in the Mercedes garage in her race suit waiting to get in the car.

"Hey!" She turned around to see George grinning at her.

Skye smiled as she hugged him "How you doing?" The older driver wondered as they pulled apart.

"I'm good. Feels great to be back on the grid, especially racing in the Mercedes car." It was her first race back from injury and god was she exited to be racing in the Mercedes.

George smirked "Better get those points." Charles was catching up with her, since she wasn't racing he was gaining - and fast.

Skye rolled her eyes "Do you doubt me, Mr Grussell?" He shook his head.

"Never." He wished her luck before stating to walk away.

"Oh George!" Skye called out remembering something she needed to give him.

He turned to her with a raised brow. Skye smirked as she handed him a McLaren hat with her number 70 on it "Told ya I would get you some merch." He laughed as she put it on his head.

"Have a good race." George readjusted the hat so it sat on his head properly as she walked away.

A hand was placed on her shoulder "Ready?" Lewis was proud to see his daughter in the Mercedes car racing with him.

She nodded, her smile and eyes bright "Let's do this." They got in their cars and headed out to the track ready to race.

"Beautiful job, Skye." Skye passed the checkered flag only 0.09 seconds in front of Lewis.

She let out a relieved laugh "Fuck that was tense." Her and Lewis had been at each other's throats all race.

Heading to the media pen after the podium, Lewis pulled Skye to the side "You were incredible. I'm so proud of you." She smiled happily as he hugged her.

"That was awesome." She laughed quietly against his chest before pulling away, her signature grin bright as she looked up at her dad.

"You wanna move to Mercedes?" He joked quietly as they walked closer to what seemed like hundreds of reporters.

She laughed "God no, you, Toto and Bono would drive me mental." He shoved her lightly before walking away to a reporter with his press officer, Skye smiled as she headed to a different reporter.

"I'm here with Skye Hamilton, race winner and Championship leader." Harriett Lock, a Sky News reporter spoke for the camera crew to hear.

Skye smiled the usual smile she used for the cameras "Obviously it was your first race back after injury. Can you tell me how it feels to be back? And in a Mercedes?" Harriett asked her written down questions.

"I mean it's incredible to be back and fighting for the championship, it's been stressful knowing everyone is getting the points but me." She chuckled before taking a sip of her drink.

"Plus being in the Mercedes was such a blessing, as well as racing with my dad, that's a dream I've had since I was a kid. It was great to get those points with the team." She answered the second question.

Harriett nodded "And what does George think? Rumours have been going round saying he wasn't happy about the race bans."

Skye resisted the urge to roll her eyes "Yeah, I've seen those rumours. No, when I woke up and found out about George's race bans, I immediately messaged him and told him that I couldn't understand why he alone was being punished when we technically both caused the accident. I didn't see it fair that he was punished for the accident but I wasn't. Anyway, we messaged and he was the one who actually encouraged me to take the Mercedes seat for the race, he said it was the least he could do for what happened."
