Stavros' pov:

I woke up to a knock on the door early in the morning. I glanced at my watch which showed six o'clock! Who the hell is that early in the morning? I thought to myself. Feeling drowsy I got up, put on my robe and headed for the door. When I opened it, I was surprised to see a very dear person to me. Melina! My only love, my beautiful wife! She wore a beautiful crimson dress and her hair was tight in a beautiful ban.

- "Stavros" she said and immediately fell into my arms.

-"Melina my love! You are here safe and sound! Thank God!"

-"I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry I didn't believe you!" she said between sobs.

-"My love don't cry! Please don't cry! I was worried sick for you! Where were you?"

-"I left Andreadakis house yesterday night!"

-"I know I know. Where were you all these hours? I looked everywhere for you!"

-"I found refuge in the cathedral!

-"But but how?"

-"I knocked on the door of the temple and the priest politely offered me a place to spend the night!"

-"Thank God!" I told her hugging her tightly and caressing her cheek. She tilted her head towards my hand welcoming my caresses. I grabbed her hand and led her into the room. Melina followed behind and closed the door. Then I stood still and waited for Melina to begin.

-"Yesterday, at the park, I did not believe you and I returned to Andreadakis' house, even though you revealed to me the fraud he committed behind my back" Melina told me sadly.

-"It's ok my love! You are still very confused don't blame yourself! I understand!" I reassured her.

-"No, you don't! You are the only one who told me the truth. You did it even though you knew you were risking the future of our relationship. Υet I didn't believe you!" she said and bowed her head in shame.

-"Don't feel bad. You did what you thought was best at that time! I won't judge you for that! I've made many mistakes myself too" I said disappointed with myself.

-"No, no you are perfect. You never did anything wrong! You were always sincere and clear with me" she contradicted caressing my cheek.

-"My love! My little girl all of these belong to the past! Do not put your mind to trivial things" I told her and kissed her forehead.

-"It's not trivial...I discovered something very disturbing!"

-"What is it?"

-"Yesterday I didn't mention you that for a significant time I was kept captive by a very bad man. A man who....... mistreated me, a man who....... !" she said while she started sobbing again.

-"Mistreated you in what ways?" I asked angrily.

-"He was extremely violent with me and let me starve and cold"

-"It's ok my love, I know. You do not need to relive these bad memories" I advised her.

-"You know? How?" she wondered with wide eyes.

-"It's a long story! But do not worry. When I find that man I promise I'll make him pay severely!" I reassured her. She started crying loudly. It was obvious that she wanted to vent all her anger and her indignation at what she had suffered from this bastard. After some minutes, she finally calmed down. She wiped her tears and looked me straight in the eyes determinedly.

-"You know..... Vrasidas.....the man..... that held me captive....... was executing George's orders" she told hesitantly.

-"What? What are you talking about?" I asked surprised. Honestly, I didn't expect this!
