Gemma never thought much about the war; her life's troubles consisted of quidditch, tests and petty house rivalry. She definitely never thought much of Regulus Black, the quiet, conserved Slytherin boy who seemed to harbour dark secrets which she had no interest in uncovering.
As the war starts to upheave their lives, they find themselves torn between two sides, and each must pick their own, or risk being caught in the crossfire.
They cling to each other like a lifeboat. But with every blow thrown at them, their hold gets a little bit weaker.
