Chapter 30: The Untoten Ghoul

Thunder clapped its ferocious palms together, as it temporarily lit up the sky. Grey clouds loomed overhead; pouring its soul out to the victims below. The deary air soaked into Anker's head; his dream morphed into something more significant, something more depressing and dark.

The ship rocked and pearled, moaning as it punched through the waves. As each wave rammed into the hull of the ship, Anker could see his ghostly friend look back at him from the snowy shore. Dull faced and disappointed as his skin blended into the snow before drifting off and disappearing.

Anker awoke in the rusty ship. Glass shattered and the outside was just an endless void of water, no moon and no stars lit the ship. Emergency lights flickered on and off. He walked through the ship, each step making a loud clang. He took his foot off to a squelch. Glancing down he saw black blood dripping from his feet. Looking back up, the doorway into the next part of the ship laid shut. Carefully, Anker opened it feeling blood pumping around his body. He stared into the void, nothing but demonic screams and shrieks came out from that door. It echoed everywhere complimenting the fruitless cries for help.

He looked back to see his old friend, Jeru, except it, was his skeleton. His Danish uniform was attached to the specs of blood still on his bones. A notable hole in his skull. It pointed towards the door, and the darkness expanded, its claws latching onto the side of the ship. Unearthly screams lashed Anker back. Growls and helms grew ever closer with the increasing slams of metal. It was rapidly increasing in speed and sound.

A voice spoke, crocky but firm. In a deep amusement, it toyed, "You mere mortal, I'm here to seal your doom, for this is your...tomb."

He heard the deep growls of the evil that lurked in the dark, under death's moon he tried to scream. But the terror took the sound before he could make it; he was paralyzed.

The grizzly ghoul with the foulest stench reached out its arm and hand. Clothing and dark green skin dripped from its bones. Its face came under the red moonlight, and an infinite set of sharp ragged teeth opened up to Anker. The claws wrapped around his torso. It was cold and slimy. As this uncanny alien opened its jaws wide; Anker could not escape this wicked revenant. He couldn't escape the spectre of Andrzej
