Lady Lilas Lennox was the second child and only daughter of Master Henry Lennox and his wife, Mrs. Margaret Gordon of Yorkshire, England and they also had a son, Colonel Albert Lennox who was born five years before Mistress Lilias Lennox.

Lilias Lennox was very beautiful, but her father and mother couldn't provide a dowry for their only daughter to marry, and as she wasn't from a gentry or an aristocratic family, she was not invited to the Queen Charlotte's coming out at Kensington Palace.

Lilias Lennox was born in 1880 and in 1896 she turned 16 years old when most young women were being found husbands for by their fathers were finding their daughters a husband within a good gentry or an aristocratic family.

Colonel Albert Lennox had found himself a wife, Lady Rose Stanhope, who was the daughter of Sir Philip Stanhope in 1895 and in the year of his sister's 16th birthday Colonel Lennox and his wife, Lady Rose was transferred to New Delhi India in 1896

Colonel Albert Lennox had found himself a wife, Lady Rose Stanhope, who was the daughter of Sir Philip Stanhope in 1895 and in the year of his sister's 16th birthday Colonel Lennox and his wife, Lady Rose was transferred to New Delhi India in 1896.

Colonel Albert Lennox never knew that his only sister, Lilias had married Lord Archibald Craven in 1898, in Yorkshire, England and as mail was very slow getting from India to England and it took four to five months to arrive.

Neither brother nor sister knew that they had a niece or nephew from their marriages in the year of 1900, Lady Rose Lennox had a daughter, Lady Mary Lennox in June of 1900

Between the two children of Sir Colin and Lady Mary they had five grandchildren, 

Three grandsons and one granddaughter to carry on their legacy of  Misselthwaite Manor that was started in 1700 century under the reign of King Charles I of England and his son, King Charles II of England.

Lord Matthew Colin Craven had two sons, Lord David Colin Craven and Lord Albert Colin Craven and they blessed their grandparents with one grandson and one granddaughter, but it was Lord Albert David Craven that succeeded his father to the Earldom of Craven, but it would be Sir Colin Craven's great-granddaughter, Lady Margaret that would change the sucession to the Earldom of Craven in 2220 whereas her first cousin, Lady Mary Rose Craven would succeed her as Countess of Craven.

Lady Mary Rose Craven and her descendants would be followed by her first cousin twice removed, Lady Florence Clara Craven. who was the grandniece of her great-great-great grandfather, Lord Archibald Craven whose brother was Dr. David Craven?

Misselthwaite Manor would pass onto the family of Lady Florence Rose Craven, but they were related to the William Craven, 2nd Earl of Craven whose son, George Craven, 3rd Earl of Craven was the father of Lord Archibald Craven and Dr. David Craven.

Lady Florence Clara Craven married James Grimston, 3rd Earl of Verulam and they had John Grimston, who would succeed his mother as Earl of Craven.
