After the mating ritual things start to slowly fall back into place, Derek is open and honest again, the pack are thriving in their new positions, and everyone seemed happier over these last few weeks.

However, Derek and I have come to a little disagreement that can be solved fairly easily if he will just let me pay for a few things which I never do because he always insists on doing it and I didn't used to mind as I was a student with little to no money, but I have a job now and I can help out.

"I just don't get it; I broke the porch when Stiles and I were messing around with my dad's quad bike. So let me pay for the repairs as we clearly didn't do a great job last time as it literally crumbled on us— not just broke— it crumbled" I say stressing out a little bit wishing Derek didn't have this idea in his head that he has to pay for everything, I know part of it is down to providing for me and his wolf but this was my fault and I have the money to fix it.

"I think it's a good idea to hire someone out as the way the porch fell was more than dangerous, I get that, but I can pay for it I have more than enough money to do so" Derek says sounding bored, his face though looks kinda smug as if he has a trick hidden up his sleeve.

"Yeah, I know you do but so I do. I have a job, and I have so money saved up which I don't mind spending on the house" I say trying to get him to agree.

"How much do you have" Derek says with a roll of his eyes as if knowing I won't have enough.

"Over 20k" I say simply as I stare at my mate who ends up stuttering as he tries to come up with a decent response to that as he wasn't expecting such a high number.

"What kind of job did you get? Pablo Escobar's assistant?" Derek says stammering over his answer as he stares at me bewildered and he knows by the look in his girlfriend's eye he isn't going to like her answer much better.

"Bouncer at a club" I say sheepishly, my tone sounding kinda shy, even though I'm far from it I know what his reaction will be when he finds out what type of club it was.

"What kind of club was it? Because I only know two ones a gay club and I know they wouldn't have hired you for that one as you aren't a man and the other one is a club on the outskirts of Beacon Hills and baby that's a strip club."

I look down with a small smile on my face even if it is sheepish, I know that Derek has already figured out what type of club it is, and I know that he's both feeling possessive and mad.

"There is no way you're working their anymore, you know that right?" Derek says causing me to raise an eyebrow at him looking at him dumb founded.

"I'm still gonna work there whether you like it or not, I just want to make one thing clear Derek Hale, you don't control me. I like working there, the girls are lovely and the moneys great. I'm not gonna stop just because your jealous, you can't make me quit" I tell him with an angry look in my eye hating the way he said that last sentence.

"Fine but I'm not happy about it" Derek growls out causing me to glare before walking away. For the rest of the night, I annoy Derek in the way I know how, I ignore him, every time he spoke to me, I didn't answer, and I walked away sometimes which wound him up further.

"Okay, fine. I'm sorry it's just the thought of other guys around you staring at you and wanting you and I'm not there to warn them of. It just makes me so jealous and I'm sorry" Derek says sounding desperate he's never handled being ignored well, not by his mate.

He was just so caught up in his own jealousy that he wasn't thinking, other people can look but only he can touch, and it's not like she's stripping she's just standing at the door although that isn't the problem. What he really hates the is the fear of y/n finally seeing all the other options she has and then leaving him so he's alone again, he doesn't think he can handle being alone again.
