An old friend and newer enemies

Line Arks new capital Hoffnung (hopefully it doesn't get bombed this time)

In the sky above Hoffnung two machines can be seen fighting above the clouds one being Pitch Black and the other with a skull painted on it.

"That was a close one viper" Strayed called out over the radio. "You have to remember when fighting a NEXT that there both faster and stronger then you."

"I won't miss next time" viper responded. Both of the machines began to circle one another until viper made the first move. Firing a shot from his railgun he was actually surprised that it hit only for it to ricochet off of Morrgan's Primale Armor.

"Hahaha there we go" both machines stopped and hovered In place. "Now that you've actually hit a shot how about we get serious snake boy."

Viper narrowed his eyes underneath his helmet as Strayed mentioned the nickname he had given the pilot "fine then let's get serious edge lord."

"Well here we go" before viper could even react Strayed had engaged Morrgan's over boost and shot right past him flying straight into a cloud. Viper knowing this could be a trap described to increase his attitude and climb higher. Keeping an eye on the cloud Strayed had dived into he heard the sound of thrusters to his right. Immediately snapping in that direction for him to be met with empty sky.

Continuing to scan his surrounding he could feel the hair on the back of his neck stand up. He felt the urge to run like what an animal feel when it's being stalked by a predator. Viper turned around just in time to use the free hand of his Titan to stop a laser blade from cutting into his hatch. "Damn Strayed are you trying to kill me."

"Haha not yet snake boy but I think we should call it there" Strayed said as his laser blade retracted back into his arm. "I'm fine with that you nearly broke my Titans arm anyways." Morrgan's head could be seen staring down at the ground below "I've got movement in the tree line, you can return to base for repairs I'll intercept whoever it is" Without another word Morgan blasted off towards the ground.

Outskirts of Hoffnung

Eleanor's pov

I was tasked with recon of the humans that had just moved in to the area. Other scouts had returned to the tribe informing them of flying machines and towers of glass that pierce the sky. She wasn't upset that she was the next person that was chosen to scout the human settlement. She was somewhat excited  to see if the rumors were true. But nothing could prepare her for when she reached the tree line.

"It's beautiful" I let the words accidentally slip out of my mouth. The glass towers stretched high up into the sky but that wasn't what impressed me the most what did how ever was the massive bridge that sat in the middle of the city. One of those flying machines past over head of me it was so fast that I could only make out a triangle emblem near its tail. Then another past over me heading further into the city except this one had a star near its tail.

Deciding that I've seen enough I turn around to leave only to hear an explosion from behind me and a gust of wind that nearly took me off my feet. Turning around I'm met with a obsidian black giant, it's red eyes locked onto me. As it Slides? Out of the crater that it had created then another one landed except it was pure white it resembled the artifact that the Man showed up at are village in but its design was taller and broader than his.

"Your trespassing in Line Ark territory identify yourself immediately." The black Machine spoke struggling to say anything at all I finally blurted out a response "Im Eleanor regional scout of the Cadarn tribe." Both of the giants turned there heads to each other.

White Glint spoke out over the comms to Strayed "hey Strayed? Did you notice that she has pointed ears?" Steayed turned Morrgan's head back to the girl immediately spotting what his partner pointed out. "We should probably get this to the higher-ups"

As the two Titans continued to silently talk to each other Eleanor was analyzing different plans and also wondering if she could escape if she ran while they were distracted only for her to reason with herself thet they would catch up within seconds. She was startled whenever the Titans turned back around and this time the pure white one spoke "are government wishes to speak with your people an ambassador will be here in a few minutes." Eleanor thought to herself 'oh what have I done the elders will surely punish me for this.'

Location unknown

On the other side of the world on top of a mountain In the middle of a blizzard two NEXT can be seen fighting each other one being black and blue and relatively skinny while the second one was black and red and a bit more bulky than the blue one.

Both machines trading blow one after the other with missiles flying all over the place and energy weapons lighting up the sky "damn you, just stay still" Ostdarva yelled at the red and black machine "you know I won't let you kill me that easily" Thermidor responded.

   "After all these years I finally have a chance to kill you and it just has to be in the middle of a fucking blizzard." Otzdarva yelled again as he unleashed more missiles into the air while also unleashing a hail of bullets from his rifle. "I guess that's God's way of saying fuck you Ostdarva."

Before Maximilian could laugh at his come back an energy beam shattered his Primale Armor and tore a hole in his left arm "Ugh I can't keep toying with you" Thermidor sent a full salvo of all of his weapons at Ostdarva who immediately began to doge but being preoccupied with Maximilian's frontal assault he didn't notice the missiles coming up behind him in time.

They slammed right into his back throwing him to the ground his NEXT almost unable to move due to the damage he still tried his best to shot at Maximilian. Thermidor with not much ammo left realizing that Ostdarva's Primale Armor was most likely recharged. Decided to shot the snow right above Ostdarva position creating an avalanche that swept away Ostdarva while he cursed Thermidor over the radio.

The avalanche wouldn't kill Ostdarva but it would give Thermidor time to fall back and repair Unsung seeing as how it had a giant hole in its left arm and his right leg was being held on by cables it was the best decision at the moment. Leaving both the mountain range and the blizzard behind he flew through the sky wondering where to go next. His radio crackled to life with a broadcast but not just any broadcast but a Line Ark broadcast "interesting."

Unknown location

  Ambassador Felix was seen sitting on board of the BFN Bismarck. He was assigned to this ship in hopes of opening diplomatic ties with the rumored nations of the Magic Sea or as it's been recently called the Cursed
Sea with rumors linking the nation's within it to the downfall of the Sapin Kingdom.

But none the less the president wanted to have ties with these nations so that they could receive help against the Reich and reunite the fatherland. But right now Felix was hoping that these weren't just rumors.

(The school year is finally over for me so expect more updates. But it seems that there are more secrets hiding behind the currents for both the United States and Line Ark. But if you have any questions about the story then please ask away.)
